where 20K Leagues Under the Sea was? Well, my tall DH has quite a reach, which comes in handy, and we snapped a few pics

There isn't much there but it's sad to see 20K Leagues gone. I didn't know that the last time I rode it would be *the* LAST time!

Sorry this one is crooked.

Any rumors about what will be put there? (silly question - of course there are rumors!)

One rumor I heard (stress RUMOR - so I wouldn't put a LOT of faith in it - but it's something to think about) is that Disney execs have mentioned that the space is the perfect size for one e-ticket attraction (another mountain) and 2 smaller attractions.

Of course it'll be years before they decide what they're going to do with it - look how long it took them to fill it in! LOL!

I will miss the pretty "pond" there and the nostalgia of 20,000 Leagues, but I'm also glad they are planning to do something new with it. My DH and I always try to peek through any holes or hinges in the walls to see what's going on back there so thanks for sharing these pictures! I thought I had once read that they were going to put a garden there for now...

I am glad they are finally doing something with it, even though it may be a few years before anything goes up. It was kind of depressing seeing the remains of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and knowing it would never open again.

I thought about going on Dumbo a second time just to take pictures. I didn't have my camera on me when I took the girls on it! But it was interesting seeing what they were doing back there!
