Ever think...

...you may order too much takeaway?

First incident - DH and I walk into our pizza place. Note the "our" , same day, same time as usual. And we don't even have to order... our usual two pizzas are ready and waiting for us. With a free can of Coke on the side!

Second incident, this week. Pizza Hut sent us a voucher for a free pizza... with a note telling us it's because we haven't ordered lately! I wouldn't mind, only it's been TWO WEEKS since our last order. Two whole weeks and they feel the need to give us free pizza in case we'd forgotten them.

Starting to wonder if one day I'll actually turn into a pizza.

This was my ex-husband. He refused to eat home-cooked food, so we had take-away every night. He'd get on the phone, and no matter what restaurant it was, the order taker would say, "This is Eric, right?"

Now that I've gotten rid of him, though, I've lost quite a bit of weight and haven't even tried! I love cooking!

I love cooking too. It's amazing I'm still a size 6.

Dh and I eat out quite often. Most of the people at our local 99 restaurant know my voice when I call ahead to put our name on the wait list.

I have now started cooking at home a little more often. The final straw was when I called our local chinese take out place and the guy knew my voice and what I wanted to order.

Ugh. They all know me.

When I go to Q Doba they always know that I will be ordering multiple items.

Call Jimmy Johns and they ask for my address, then for the intersection. I start to tell them and they always stop me. "Oh yeah, we know where you are"

Oh, also see my tag. That's our strategy.

We're not super bad, but the people at our Chinese place know who we are when we come in to pick up our food.

Oh yeah - been there done that!!
When we bought our house (1 1/2 yrs ago) - there is 1 place that will deliver (6 1/2 years without - gasp, choke!!). When I call to order, they ask for the phone number before they ask "pick up or delivery". It is so bad that when they hear my number - I get 'oh that ones a delivery'.
Good thing that they have good food!

We're like that with Pizza Hut. I do order online so the order taker's not the issue but the delivery people always seem extremely happy to be standing at our doorstep. The only reason I can think of is that we tip very well.
