Ever "taken" anything from WDW?

I take home a smile in my heart, a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes! I LOVE Disney!

My girlfriend and I would had a "friendly" competition one trip to see who could come home with more WDW pens. Way too much fun! Every time we were asked to sign for something, we would ask the CM(with a smile, of course)"Could I have this pen?" They have never said no to us. I do love my pen collection!!

March 2004 my wife, SIL and I watched Illuminations fireworks from the patio area of Big River Brew Pub at Boardwalk and my beer glass somehow ended up in our WDW display case, only to be joined by a sake' cup from Tepanyaki which followed us home this Jan. Also we've collected numerous fallen seeds and such, not available in PA, none of which have ever germinated.

Sand from the beach at the Poly.

And a washcloth from the Poly. A plain 'ole white washcloth.

I don't take things but I do put little divits into objects.
I've left my "mark" on over a hundred objects in WDW.
I use a little screwdriver like tool with a "D" on the tip.
Depending on the material, something soft like wood, I can just press in in to leave a mark.
But I usually use a small hammer to get it in deep.
It doesn't work on plastic or brick but Disney uses alot of soft metals that take the mark pretty easy.
I have a list of where they are and have made a game to try and find some everytime I go back.
Benches, walls, rides, tables pretty much all over.
At the Wilderness Lodge, on the totem pole Goofy has a "D" under his right eye.
Been there for 6 years!
I know I shouldn't but I just can't help myself.

I'm kidding LOL!

i'm terrible...

i was in the indiana jones store and i saw this little scarab beetle thing with raised hieroglyphs all over it (like a stamp that would've been used in ancient egypt). i picked it up to check the price and realized it was just a decoration... so... i borrowed it. i'll take it back someday - it's a great excuse for another trip to the parks!

I think this is just so funny! Everyone wants to make WDW "their own", and everyone wants to take a piece of WDW home with them! I love my pinecone from Hurricane Charley, because everytime I see it, I think about the excitement and drama of our trip!

The thing about the "D"s is a little funny! Never thought of all that!! Ever been seen by anyone doing it??

Along with the many many towels we've taken (hey we need it to pack our suitcase and pad all the breakable objects we buy)- we've also taken a napkin from Chef Mickey's our first real meal in Disney..

Let's see....
towel animal
soaps and shampoos
pens and stationary
and this past May, totally by accident, a WL towel. A full sized bath towel! We had all of our beach towels laid out on the balcony to dry after a day at the pool, my sister didn't bring her own and used one of the resort towels. Well, it was under the towels we brought from home, and when I scooped them all up, I grabbed the other one too! I didn't realize it until I got home...we'll be back there in Dec. I'll take it back then.

I haven't taken anything...yet!
I really, really like the shower curtain @ VWL. Offered to buy it off the pole in our room, but no go
Wrote Disney asking if I could buy one, again, no--
I search Ebay incessantly...
who knows when I may slip in the shower, grab onto the curtain, & somehow, as I stumble into the bedroom it ends up in my open suitcase! :rotfl2:
Yep, know I lack the the lack of moral fibre to 'pull off' that one

I also took sand-from the Beach in front of the BCV. I have it in a shot glass I bought in the gift shop for that purpose (yes, my crime was premeditated). But what wasn't premeditated was the time I brought home a pillowcase from OKW. I'd brought my pillow, but I didn't have a pillowcase on it, so I used the one at OKW. Then when I got home, the pillowcase was still there. Only problem is-it's just plain ole' white.

We have a large pile of soap from the rooms. Wrapped up with Mickey on the paper. My wife grabbed a bunch fom the house keeping cart. Nobody can use them, but they sit on the shelf in the bathroom. I asked her if we were planning on putting them out when company comes and she said "yes", so we'll see.

I forgot to add some more things that I "borrowed":

Last day and DSs were swimming and when they were done we had to leave so they still had towels on their heads - I "borrowed" the pool towels (2 of them) - they're pretty sturdy towels too! :teeth:

I "borrowed" another towel this past trip cause I needed something to wrap DS's shoes in the suitcase.

What I'd love to "borrow" are:

the table lamp at BC rooms - It's Mickey on a lifeguard's chair - cutest thing
the shower curtain and the entertainment center from WL
I want the sideboard table in the hallway of WL
the trunk in the 1 bdrm suite of BCV that they use for a coffee table - that thing is sweet!
I'd like to borrow the banners they hang on Main St! :rotfl:

We went to WDW this past September, and my birthday is in early October (the 4th actually) Everytime we ate at a counter service restaraunt, I'd take a whole bunch of those napkins that have Mickey on them, thinking that we'd be able to use them for my 30th bday party. That's a fine plan until we brought them home and one of our cats decides to tinkle on the whole stack. I guess he was mad that we were gone for a week....

Happy Birthday to You!! :wizard:

I like the resort pens , the African proverb cards and the chocolates from AKL. :goodvibes

Let's put it this way: I've got "Environmentality"

We always take the napkins, stir sticks, toothpicks, and even some paper plates with Mickey on them (that have never been used of course!) We use them on cold winter days to remind us of warm Disney days! :sunny:
