Ever sold Disney pins in a garage sale?

We are doing a neighborhood sale and I'm wondering if it's worth trying to sell Disney pins. I have picked some up at sales, but they usually only have one so they haven't been collectors or traders. Once found a box of six Lion King pins in a wooden Disney box for $1. I almost walked right by it before realizing what it was! :cheer2:

Unless you are ok with selling them for a few cents each, I doubt it's the best venue.

A general rule of thumb is that yard sales are for "moving" stuff, not getting value out of stuff. Yard sale shoppers around here are simply use to bargaining down prices and rarely pay more than a few dollars for a item.

I sold my kids disney pins after they had outgrown them. we kept a few special ones but I think I sold them for 50cents a piece.

I would suggest online, actually. Ebay is amazing, you can make a bit of money on them!

What's your motivation for selling them? If it's just to get rid of them, garage sales are good. If it's to get more money from them, e-bay and/or craigs list or another on-line site would be better.

If you sell on e-bay, make sure you take lots of photos, and are able to ship fairly quickly. It's a pain to deal with, but would probably bring in the most lookers & therefore money.

I actually did sell one of my pins at a tag sale once.
I had a tag sale and had a few souveniers and nick nacks that I didn't want anylonger and priced them to sell. I had someone ask me if I had any pins for sale. I didn't really but brought out a few to show her and she made a ridiculous offer for one of my pins that I couldn't pass up. And yes I did check the value on Pin Pics and it was not anything close to what she offered me.
I wish I had her name and number, I have quite a few pins I would like to sell now... and at least 100 snow globes. When I look at all the stuff I bought years ago I cringe with the amount of money I spent. But pintrading was really fun from 2000-2005 until it died a slow painful death.

I feel your pain only 10 snowglobes though. :/
