I used to work with a lady who had a Persian cat and she took it to have it bathed and the groomer shaved the cat. Needless to my co-worker was not happy.

It's not something I'd do myself...I'd definitely have a professional do it...you can hurt your poor pussycat if you slip up! Especially if it's all matted...they have special tools for that.

i had that happen to my ex-husband's cat! it was when we were dating. we were "hosting" a party and a few tipsy party goers decided that alex (cat) didn't need his whiskers! the poor kitty was running into walls!! they thought it was hysterical, but i felt so bad for the kitty...
