What should I expect on Sunday?

We will have a car...should we pick up any "supplies"?

Thanks!

I would snacks, munchies, whatever you need to tide you over if you can't get to the food court because of the weather.

Bottled water, sodas, etc.

thanks safetymom...hopefully DH will stop at a store before we hit property...or something...

do you think we'll be on "lock down" in our rooms on sunday?

We were there for Hurricane Charley at the Poly and my brother was at Fort Winderness in his RV. They moved him to PO so he did ride out Hurricane Charley there. He said the food court was very crowded. They had tons of supplies in their RV so he was OK, in fact they called us to see if we needed anything. I would buy some food. Since you have car I would consider maybe hitting publix (or somewhere) on the first day and buying stuff like bottled water and other stuff. I read where the mods will now have frids in the room so if there is one you have options also. Yes they told him to stay in their room, but my brother went out for awhile and video taped the hurricane. This is the same man who just came back from Alaska and video taped bears in the wild. I expect to see his stuff of National Geographic anytime now!! LOL!!:D You will be OK, I was very impressed with how Disney handled everything. Just do what they tell you, no video taping the hurricane!!;)

hahaha...thanks so much DisneyMim! I have full faith in Disney to keep us safe for that one day we're in our room.

(if DH DOES decide to video tape the hurricane, I'll send him out in my bright orange slicker so I can find him easily! heheh)

Just a word of caution...the stores are already pretty picked over and of course bottled water is a precious commodity. It may not be easy to find.

another suggestion... get a cooler! if you are on "lockdown" in your hotel room, you will most likely stock up on a few meals to have in your room, and unless you are happy to live on chips/pretzels and room temp drinks, you will want to have a cooler... the grab 'n go section of the foodcourt had some great offerings (cheese/fruit/veggie plate, sandwiches, salads, etc) and w/out a cooler we would not have been able to enjoy them!

GOOD LUCK!
