Ever Play Hooky To Go Home To DVC?

We took our kids out for about 3 days over Feb one year...Dad is a teacher in another system and our vacations did not match...
Daughter was in 3rd and son in 1st...My daughter's teacher asked her to keep a journal...My son's teacher asked for an autograph from Mickey :D On their first day back my daughter came back and announced that she never ever wanted to be taken out again that she had too much work to make up! It really wasnt that much.............she is now going off to college and we ran across that journal ............ we laughed so hard we cried!
we went here........came back and changed........went swimming..changed clothes......went here........etc... One of her teachers comments was...Boy you sure did spend alot of time changing clothes!

What ever you decide, enjoy it, enjoy them....time goes by too quickly.

The school system my daughter will be in will be year round, so I think she gets 1 month off every three months.

Your lucky. Studies show children in year round schools do better and the costs are lower. The students retain more with shorter breaks.

Did you know that year round schools were catching on before World War Two happened. The war brought it to a stop.

This is something everyone should look into and encourage their school districts to adopt. Initially teachers don't want it but when they get into it they love it.

I took my DD (4th grade) and myself (I'm a teacher) out of school for 3 days in March for our trip. I would love to go to year round school because my DH is a farmer and he's the busiest when we're out for summer.
