I just ordered 2 quilts from this company. I chose it because it had very good reviews. If you've used them before, did you have to iron the shirts before sending them in? Just asking because the shirts that I'm sending in have been sitting for a while and are very wrinkled. Didn't know if they "press" it once it's done or not.

I don't know the direct answer to your question, but I would consider rewashing the shirts before sending them in. Then I would be then into the not too hot dryer and fold them before they are dried to a crisp. The should remove most if not all of the wrinkles.

We just bought one for DS17 for Christmas!

We washed everything before sending. It didn't seem like they re-washed it there, although I would think that if it was really wrinkled, they might steam it or something so it's easier to work with.

You have to cut the tshirt kind of in a "bisect" way (basically follow the seams) so they have a front and a back, if you are using both sides. You still have to cut it the same way, but just send the side you want, if you are only using one side. We needed to find 30 tshirts (or whatever added up to 30 fronts and backs) for the 5'x6' blanket.

DS's turned out beautifully, although they did send us a bill for $20 extra for having to "reposition" some of his jersey's to fit into the square. And cutting out 30 tshirts was a LOT of work! You can also take a color picture of the way you want the shirts positioned. After you buy, they send you an email with all of the instructions and a packing slip for the box. We mailed the shirts out around Dec. 10th and paid for Christmas shipping, and received the finished blanket back about a week before Christmas. I cannot express the emotions I felt seeing the finished product - 17 years of memories at once.

When DS17 opened it on Christmas morning, he was speechless. You could see his facial expressions as he silently touched a square and re-lived each memory from each shirt/jersey. He told us it was the best, most thoughtful gift we have ever given him, and he has used it multiple times in the past few weeks.

Just curious what this costs to do. My DD has already expressed an interest and while I could do it myself, I might not have time. Also, anyone want to share photos?

For the full sized It's $129.99 But I got an email a couple days ago for buy one get one free. I JUMPED on that one. I was going to get one for each of my boys this past Christmas but couldn't swing it. But I figured I couldn't pass up that deal. I'll get it done and hopefully save it for Christmas this year.

I guess I should see if I can sign up for emails on their site to see if they run offers when it's closer to time for me to do something. If you order, I hope you'll share your experience here!

I have T-shirts from my older two that I want to do this with. I've been thinking of doing it myself, but I'm a procrastinator. Maybe I should look into this instead. That doesn't sound like an unreasonable price, especially if I can find a buy one, get one free offer.

We chose the 5x6 foot (full size) blanket, and It was $129. I signed up for the emails a while ago, so around thanksgiving I got an email for 50% off. We paid $30 for Christmas delivery, and they billed us another $20 for resizing, which they clearly state can happen on their website, so we knew the jerseys would need to be resized to fit the 12x12 square. So the $60-ish we saved, we ended up paying, but it was our choice to do so. And DS shipped the cut shirts from work so we didn't pay shipping (he offered, but his boss said to just do it and not worry about it....and his boss is the CFO, so....) but you might have to add $10-20 for that.

Totally worth it! I would post a pic, but the shirts/jerseys have way too much identifying information on them ;) like our last name, his first name, our city, his school, etc...however, many people posted pics on their website and it really does look like how it does in person. The sizing is true - my son is 6 feet tall and the blanket is exactly as tall as he is.

I used this company to make a blanket for my DD of her college/sorority T-shirts. They did an excellent job!! I washed them all before I cut them and ironed any that seemed wrinkly.

I did order two of them (one for each of my boys). I did the full size for both. Can't wait to see what they look like at the end.
