Ever met anyone from the DIS?

I accidently bumped into a DIS'er's Mum one year in the MK, it was at night and was crowded as it was MVMCP. We then found out we were sitting directly behind the Mum and her family in one of the theatres. I recognised the DIS'er from photos she had posted, I haven't seen her here in ages, I think her name was Beth.

Apart from that I saw a DIS'er wearing one of those lime green things in the GF, I just said hi, and exchanged small talk for a few minutes. Neither were planned.

I've done planned meets and on my last two trips finally had someone recognize my lime green mickey head that is attached to my bag.

Several years ago (I was still lurking on the DIS, hadn't joined yet)

I saw someone with LGMH entering the Magic Kingdom at WDW. Said hi, and they came off as total nut jobs, started asking me where I was staying(wanted my room number), and how long we would be in the parks, etc. etc.
DW and I decided to not socialize with them.

since then, I have seen several LGMH's and even a family wearing lime green shirts, but we decided to just go to the parks and have fun, and not try and meet anyone.

I am friendly on another board about Disney. I met a friend there and we've met and have dined together and I think she's a fun and neat gal. Then, I found out that she posts here too.

So, "other" suits me well.

Yes, planned and unplanned. Both of the planned ones are long gone now though. I guess on the boards they were too controversial for their own good, even though in person they were super nice.

The unplanned one, I honestly can't remember her screen name because she wasn't an active poster, but she was SO nice.

I've never actually met anyone from the DIS boards but I did find 2 people on here that live in my town. Considering the size of the town I live in, that is pretty amazing!

A couple of visits ago I met Slightly Goofy and her husband during a lights,motor, action show at DHS. It wasn't planned and come to find out they were staying at the same resort as us- go figure! Very nice lady!!

I've met Chicago DISers at planned meets, and I've also had people stop me at WDW because they recognized me from the picture in my siggie (this always freaks my DH out )

Unplanned, we met at LeCellier having been seated next to one another. She saw my Lime Green Mickey! We chatted and my dh and ds just shook their heads, What fun!!!

In Oct 08, I was trying to set up a meet with a bunch of singles. There was a man on the boards that was assisting me and we became friends. After 3 hour calls every night, we met Nov 1st, and we have been dating ever since. A long distance relationship, but its been great. We have visited each other many times and we have taken a few side trips.
The meet for the whole group was in CT, and there were 8 of us, we had a great time. There are some fantastic people on these boards!

We should start a thread that explores how many "couples" have linked thru the DIS!!!!
SO you think there are many out there, curious?????.
