I'm feeling really bad, and it's all my fault. I had a silver necklace with my on our recent stay at BCV. At home, I use these little suction cups with hooks on them and I stick them on my mirror and hang necklaces on them to keep them from tangling. I did this in our studio and used the mirror over the coat hooks near the front door, and forgot to take it when we left.:(

We checked on on Tuesday and I didn't realize I had forgotten it till Thursday. I called Lost and Found - and nothing had been turned in. I'm afraid it just had to be housekeeping. I know it was there.

Word to the wise, be careful! It was a present from my DH so I hate even admitting to him that I did such a stupid thing.

I called them again today and asked them to check with housekeeping; if I hear anything positive, I'll post back here. Meanwhile (sigh), I'll just sit here on my pity pot. :sad1:

I am sometimes short of memory and have left things at the resort. Nothng valuable like a silver necklace but valuable to me.
I have had clothes returned, my cell phone charger, and once my sister left her keys and pepper spray. They sent all those things back to me. It did take a few weeks but I got it back.
Good luck to you and let us know if you get your necklace back. Peggie

Well, I have not forgotten anything but I did find a ladies ring in the safe when we were staying at the All Stars a few years back. To make the long story short, I turned the ring in to the hotel manager and a few months later it was returned back to me because no one claimed it. The ring happened to fit me perfectly, although I would much rather have seen it sent back to its rightful owner.

I hope an honest person sent your necklace in and will be returned to you.

We left a video game one time. Disney was nice enough to ship it back to us. On our last trip we found a drawer full of clothing that we turned in.

I've found clothes in the dryer before. This time I found a pressed penny stuck in the side of dryer also.

I've lost things on the busses mostly. I started with 8 of these really nice insulated water bottle holders w/ a strap and now we're down to 2 after 6 trips. :(

Last year I forgot to return my dd's lifevest to Community Hall at BWV, but fortunately someone returned it for me and I wasn't charged for it.

Sorry to hear about your necklace. I hope they can find it for you.

My SIL left her cosmetic case under the sink last July. They remembered leaving it on the drive home and called the BW. It was found and shipped home to her within a week.

We left a coat and hat once.

Before we got home we had a message from lost and found. They wanted to make sure they had the correct shipping address.

when i was younger, i left my first plush pluto in the hotel room, I am now an avid pluto collector. My mom and dad turned the car around, we must have been a hour away and went get it. It was there. I guess it proves parents will do anything for their children

We left my DS's Buzz hat in his room in our FW Cabin during our last stay.

We called L&F several times, and called housekeeping several times as well.. L&F never returned any of our calls, and the housekeeping supervisor kept referring us there...

Luckly, we were able to find an identical hat at HHI before we finished our vacation, and so we replaced it without DS noticing, but we were quite frustrated with the whole process.

We left my son's Game Boy in Vero Beach last summer. It was never returned. The Game BOy was bad, but also in that bag was a collection of pressed pennies that my girls had been collecting for years. They passed it along to him just that trip, must have been 40 pennies! That one hurt.

We have also left a camera, never returned....

We also lost a backpack one trip... never returned , it had my daughter's glasses and a kiddie wallet.. what would anyone want with that????

BUT... one time, my oldest daughter left her night brace, that we got back. Ironically, we visited the Ortho that week, and he said she no longer needed it!

We left a 5-D Mag Light at SSR 2 weekends ago. We had checked out Sunday morning and drove over and checked into BCV. I called housekeeping at SSR later that evening, but they said it had not been turned in. DH always brings one and keeps it just below him under the bed - they probably didn't even see it.

We also left 2 pairs of nice, men's dress shorts at BWV one time. (my fault - I was rushing him) haha. We called a day later on those - not turned in.

But "I" left my entire cosmetic bag at OKW one time. We live about 1 hour away. I called when we got home and realized I didn't have it, and they had it at the front desk. They offered to ship it, but I had medications in there that I needed the next day, so I got in the car and drove all the way back! Talk about a bummer. It's hard enough to leave the "first time," but it really stinks to have to go back, walk into the lobby, then turn around and leave again. Uugghhhh...

Yeah a couple of years ago I left my cell phone at VWL. I last remembered seeing it in the safe, but we had emptied it. But, after getting home I remembered the crib thingy was directly under it in the closet. So I called the WL front desk and explained it and they sent mousekeeping over to look. Yup, they found the cell phone down inside the folded up crib and sent it UPS to me.

We left a beloved teddy bear at VB and I called that night when we got home.... No bear to be found. They did say we left our AAA card which they returned. I know the bear was in the second bedroom under the table....

Ah well I hope whoever has it loves it as much as my DD did.

I also left a red mesh bag filled with beach stuff AND my cell phone at HHI. It is a Nextel, so I used my husband's phone and direct connected to my cell phone... I kept say HELP I AM A CELL PHONE AND I AM LOST! If you can hear this help me get home... If someone is using this phone IT ISNT THEIRS I am lost help me... took about 15 mintues for someone to answer my phone's pleas for help. LOL They mailed it to me the next day.

My kids left their game boy pack with a game boy and about 5 or 6 games in the lobby of WL a few years ago. We didn't notice it missing until the LONG ride home. After checking through all the luggage we realized they had left it in the lobby. I called WL and they shipped it to us. I was really surprised! A little off the topic, but once we made some purchases in Epcot WS and sent them to the IG to be picked up on our way out. Guess what - we left without them. I called after we got back home two days later and sure enough, they had them and shipped them to us. They actually acted like that happens all the time - made me feel not quite so stupid!

On our trip last month to SSR we left our phone charger. We had gone over to DTD for lunch and remembered in then. Even though we had checked out and it was past 11 AM, we went back over to SSR to see if we could get it back. We didn't think our key would still work so planned to find a housekeeper, but our key did work, the room had been cleaned, but our charger was still there so I just grabbed it and left.

I left my mother-in-law at OKW but she was returned a few weeks later. Will try again.

April 03 I left my new digital camera in our room. realized I left it on the way to the airport. DW called All-Arars and reported we left my camera on the back of a chair. They shipped it back about a week later :)

We left our last real camera in our stroller at AK, and parked the stroller to go on Kilimanjaro Safaris. That was the last we saw of it, and even after numerous calls and visits to Lost & Found, it was never turned in (maybe an Enron exec was nearby, I dunno, probably needed more than we did being down to his last two houses and all ;)). We have used the disposables for the past year, and have been pleased with the pix we've gotten from them. I just miss the time and date imprint on the photos that we used to get; it helps to create a time line when organizing pix later.

Never left anything in the resort tho, at least none that I can remember.

A friend left his Phantom Regiment sweatshirt at OKW. He called from MCO when he realized he left it on the bathroom hook. It was never "found".
