Happens all the time in my house, but it's Haunted.

My GrandMother passed away in the house, and since she died, things go missing all the time. So if we notice something gone we say "Grandma, put it back." and usually within an hour, it shows back up, usually in a very obvious spot, and it's some place we've already looked.

For you, have you checked behind the sofa, or under the cushions, I'm talking behind the back of the cushions, like where the sofa back forms, it might have slipped into the frame, especially if she was aitting there.

Sounds like my Mom's house. She misplaces something and we go on a manhunt. Usually Christmas Morning.

Do you have a dog?????? My friend lost her cell phone (which of course was turned off). Turned the place upside down. About 3 weeks later found it when the dog was sniffing about an area near his food.

This happens to us a lot too. Check in/on bookshelves, in purses/bags, etc. DD lost her Gameboy recently and we finally found it in the bathroom linen cabinet.

One thing is for sure...It'll be in the last place you look.

About 2 years ago, I went out and bought DF some new socks, shirts and underwear, a leather jacket for myself. I came home and put it on the living room table still in the bags. Later that day I went looking for the bags and the clothing was no where to be found.

I turned up my house for weeks looking for it. I called everywhere I had been that day. Searched the car, you name it. I know I bought it home as I tried on my jacket and put it back in the bag.

2 years later and I have moved house, gone through the house a million times ... and those bags have never been found since.

We found it! Well, DH found it. After another fruitless night of searching, he was pulling out of the driveway with the younger two and noticed it was in her window behind the curtain-the window was closed and it was on the inside, but you couldn't see it from her room because of the curtains. We are all very happy and thanks for the St. Anthony prayer, I think it worked!

We lost a fairly new cordless phone back in '96. The kids were small, and just figured one of them dropped it in the wastebasket, and it went out with that week's garbage.

We were getting rid of our family room furniture last summer ('05) and I could feel something floppin' around inside the couch. 9 years later, there's the phone.
