I want to send DH something to work for our anniversary.
Has anyone done this? What was his reaction?
I won't send anything too embarassing like balloons, more like a cookie bouquet, etc.
Any ideas?

My sister sent flowers to her husband at work for their anniversary last year. He got teased by the other guys. All the more reason to send them to him! :teeth:

I did.... DH works in a township garage and I wanted to send him something "manly" because I knew he would get an earfull :teeth: . I ended up sending Omaha Steaks and I am now officially the "coolest wife ever" ;)

Yep I send dh flowers every year for Halloween, usually something manly and fall colored. (It's a joke that started way too many years ago) He's had some snide comments, but some guys are jealous that their wives wouldn't do something like that.

I have sent DH flowers many times. I got a more "masculine" looking vase. He works in an office environment and didn't get hassled about it. I love the steak and the cookie bouquet ideas!

Yup...happened to me too. And it's just not the guys that tease us, it's you ladies who will get on our butts as well. Cookies are reeeeeally border-line too.

My suggestion is that if ya'll are going out for your annie. Then you dress to the nines and pick him up in front of his office in a limo.

And if you want maximum wifey-points, then send him a strip-o-gram...eeer a FEMALE strip-o-gram! :teeth:

I sent him flowers one time and he loved it!

My DH would not be very happy if I did that. He doesn't like anyone to know his business - birthday, anniversary, etc.

I've done the flowers thing - and although my guy is the "manly outdoors type", he loved it.

When he was 40 - I snuck in while he was out of his office and decorated it in a tropical theme - had a blow-up doll dressed as a luau lady (our kids were with me!). He took it all in stride -- even when the costumed Elmo showed up with a balloon bouquet! :rotfl:

I sent my dh balloons years ago, he was only a little embarrassed because the other guys were like ohhh, but he did like them.

I went to a ftd website and picked out a gift basket that had things like candy, pretzels, a candle for his desk, etc, etc, in it. They still teased him, but it wasn't a big bouquet!

I also ordered him a pair of his favorite shoes once as a surprise and had them delivered to his work. I made sure that morning he was wearing something that would match so he could put them on. He really thought that was neat...

Usually the snide comments are because those people are jealous because their spouse/so never did that for them.

Nope...usually it's pay-backs! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Our last anniversary I bought subs and pizza for everyone in his office.(only 5 people). But he loved it much better then sending him flowers he said.

I sent my husband a box that is used for long stemmed roses, but in it's place I put a Jerry Garcia Tie and some Godiva's My friend was the delivery person, and the entire office including him thought he was getting roses. He was so surprised and really loved it. Also it was practical!

Yes, I sent my DH a bamboo plant for his office. He was very surprised and everyone thought it was so nice.

Wow, such great ideas......I knew I came to the right place,
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

I really want to make this GREAT.

Having subs/pizza sent to his office is a great idea, he really works hard and loves the people he works with.

I am also going to look on the FTD site and see what I find there.

I wonder if you can have liquor sent sent through the mail. Hummmm?

I have to have something sent, since he works an hour away......

My DH is a mechanic for the public works dept of our town. I always bake cupcakes for his birthday and his work anniversary. Noone has anything to say because I make enought for all of them. I think if I was to send flowers he would get a ribbing from the guys. In the end they are all just a buch of big kids.

Deanna :bored:

When I send stuff to my DH office its usually from hershey. The box says hershey all on it and it smells great. LOL He says the whole office will follow him back when it comes in.

He loves the surprise so most of the time I send it just because about once a year or so.
