Ever have one of those days?

Well, it started out pretty good but once I got into the office it quickly deteriorated.

I came in late because of a hair appointment then went to a meeting. Discovered when I got in my office that the chancellor's secretary was looking for me because the grant rep was looking for me. The secretary had even called one of the offices down the hall from me wondering where I was which was bit unusual. (Note: it was ok that I came in late). She even sent me several terse e-mails.


The big grant report I did that my boss really liked wasn't quite what the grant rep wanted so I'm having to redo quite of bit the report. I wanted to cry. Turned out the template I had been given was from the interim report and there were changes on the final that I didn't have. The good part is that I can use all the info that I had, just have to restructure it a bit.

Any way, I just wanted to whine a little bit.

I've had those days.
I really hate when people send icky emails.. Just because they can't find you.. I've acutally gotten calls from my DH's ex-wife's work wanting to know if I know if she is ever returning to work! WHAT?
Sorry to hear that the proposal needs adjusted but at least you can fix it and not re-do all the research again... I hope it goes back together quickly!!!

Some days you have to drag youself out of bed, keep pushing forward, and strive to make it better. Other days are meant for hiding under the covers and eating cookies.

I think today was a cookie day.

Thanks all - I just needed to complain!

DH fixed dinner and baked a cake which of course made me feel much better. Even though I brought work home, I think I have a clearer head away from the office.

It was definitely a cookie day but I didn't know it until I got to work!

Think yourself lucky, my OH has never cooked a cake in his life and I seriously doubt he's planning to start now!!! It's probably a good thing, lord only knows what the kitchen would look like if he tried and what the cake would taste like!!!
