Any of you ever had a crush on a fictional character? I'm just wondering if I'm the only one? (I have no life.):rotfl2: I don't know why but I kinda have a crush on- (points to avatar), Fang the Sniper. So, am I the only loon or what?:rotfl: (The weird thing is that I don't even like that mushy kind of stuff, it's more fun to stay single, but that's just me, and don't try to change my mind, others have tried, and failed.):rotfl: Oh well, poor Fang will probably just go back to one of the coolest dudes around in a few days and nothing else knowing me. ( Poor guy.)

OK, I'll bite. I have a thing for Professor Snape from the Harry Potter movies. Not the actor, the fictional character. So mysterious and sexy... to me anyway.

And I have no idea who Fang the Sniper is.:confused3

When I was a freshman in HS, I read the book The Poseiden Adventure. I had such a crush on the minister character (played by Gene Hackman in the movie but the crush was on the character in the book.)

Seriously, you have a crush on a cartoon character? :confused3

Some of your posts are a little out there-this one included.

Sorry, I'm weird like that, sorry if I'm freaking people out.:confused3

Cartoon character: Egon Spengler in "The Real Ghostbusters" and the Joker in the Batman series (where Mark Hammill did his voice).

Books: Ford Prefect, Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, John Yossarian, Stephen Maturin...

So, no, I don't think you're weird. Nothing wrong with having a crush on a fictional character. It can be kind of fun.

^ Thanks, I feel better now, but are my posts and threads really that weird? I just like to keep things interesting is all...

You might want to try the teen board, sounds like more your style

You're not weird at all!!! And you are very welcome to the DIS!!! :welcome: I'm enjoying your posts. (:ssst: Between you and me, I think some people take things too seriously.)

Fictional character. Yes actually, there's a lawyer in Jodi Picoult's novels called Jordan and when I came across him first I thought he sounded wonderful but then I remembered he doesn't exist and, oh, I'm married. ;)

Keep posting. :thumbsup2

Ummm..yes I have. Even recently. And no, I'm not a teen.

What, guys can look at porn and crush on those girls and we consider that normal, but girls can't read Pride and Prejudice and crush on Mr. Darcy? Perhaps a cartoon is a bit out there, but is it any weirder than liking a book character you've never even really seen.

Actually, the weirdest response I've seen on this page is Ford Prefect. Really?

I agree- Ford Prefect is a wierd choice. To each his own, right? ;)

I think I would have to say Jamie Frasier. He is hot.. in my imagination!!

LUCiD, I think this is a good, fun topic- love it!!

Is it really necessary to be mean?

I wasn't trying to be mean. :confused3 I'm sorry if I came off that way, but that's not the way I intended it. Some people have a common misconception of teens (liking fictional characters) which 99% of the time isn't true. As this thread points out, it's not always teens who "crush" on fictional characters.
I'm sorry if I came off rude but that's really not the way I intended it to be. (:

I am 50 years old and I have a crush on a vampire, Edward Cullen, not Robert Pattinson, just the character, Edward Cullen.
