I had the same dream twice last night. Once I woke up crying and the next time I woke up mad, but it was basically the same dream, or I guess I should say nightmare. Has anyone else experienced this or Does anyone have a dream book and can tell me what it means? The first dream I had was of my dh, he works nights so was not home, it was my dd's birthday and he was standing in our kitchen. We were supposed to go somewhere to celebrate. Well, my dh says, I am sorry I have to go my future wife just called and she is more important than a birthday. My dd was on the couch crying. I woke up crying. The second dream was almost the same. My dh came in and brought in a woman and said I want you to meet my fiance. WHAT!! I woke up, my heart beating fast and mad as Heck. Anyway, what is the cause of this madness? Hope someone has some insight.

Last night I dreamed that we couldn't afford our house, so we sold it and moved into an apartment. I woke up and was relieved to find myself in our bedroom. I went back to sleep. I woke up again and was in the apartment. This repeated several times. Fortunately the last time I woke up I was in our house!

I've had several dreams lately with the same theme. I dreamed a few nights ago that we couldn't afford our house and moved back into the townhouse we moved out of 6 years ago.

We've had to tighten our belts lately, but we're nowhere near losing our house. I guess finances are on my mind, though.

Is there something you're feeling vulnerable about in your life? It doesn't have to be your relationship with your husband, necessarily, but because that's one of the most sacred things in our lives, symbolically, it has great meaning. JMO.

Not long after I took my girls on our cruise.... I had a dream that my youngest DD fell over the railings (between a crack in the ship) and into the ocean. She can't swim and I was screaming for help.... It was AWFUL and I woke up totally crying and hardly able to breathe...
When I finally went back to sleep... we were on the ship again, and my DD fell again, through a crack, but this time...it was into a pool on the lower deck. I again, screamed for help, and some people were able to jump into the pool and get her out...

Dreaming it again was awful, but I believe I had to dream it again because I just couldn't handle the thought of her 'perishing' that way in the ocean, and my mind allowed me to 'save' her by dreaming a different outcome....

Very weird... that dream has stuck with me for over 2 yrs now...

I have had basically the same dream twice in one night but usually the second time it has been altered some, usually with a better outcome. They are usually nightmares when this happens.

raysnkaysmom, would it freak you out to know that on our cruise last summer we awoke to a knock on our stateroom door at 2am and it was our DS10 apparently sleepwalking, mumbling something about going to watch the sunrise. :scared1: :scared1: We never heard him leave and still aren't sure how long he was out of our room. After that DH rigged the door with suitcases but I've since had a few weird cruise dreams too.

From what I hear it isn't unusual to have reacurring dreams often. I have two dreams that repeat themselves over and over on occasions. Neither one make much sense to me. :confused3

I've heard that dreams are from what you have been thinking about recently, but I find that hard to believe cause most of my dreams are "way out there"

I am glad I am not the only one with recurring dreams. It kind of freaked me out, it was the first time it has ever happened.

That is creepy. Whats even weirder is, my DD (who I had the dream about) has actually started sleepwalking lately!! I posted a thread about it the other day!!

I don't think I've had the same dream twice in one night, but I have had the same dream more than once over a longer period of time.

If I wake up in the middle of a dream, sometimes I can continue the same dream from where it left off when I woke up. One night last week, I actually was able to continue a dream that I had had the previous night.

What happens to me is that I will be dreaming something and wake up and when I go back to sleep I continue the dream. Sometimes I'd rather not!
