ever had any trouble getting a bathtub chair?

I could bring my own folding one but would have to bring my own cleaning supplies also I guess. no problems getting one on site, right? (I can step over bathtub rim just fine but not stand too long.)

2013 my family stayed at Pop. We had adjoining rooms in the 50's section. Sorry I don't remember the room numbers. One room had a walk in shower with a built in seat. The king size bed was lower to the ground. Maybe you could call and ask about rooms like this.

these types of items are first come first served and you cannot guarantee anything ahead of time unless you book a HA room.

You can rent one from Care Medical - they have a better assortment than if you borrow from the resort. They are also more likely to be in good condition. Follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread and look in post 2 for rental information.

If you borrow one from the resort, as others have said, there is no guarantee that one will be available. I would suggest that you check it out carefully before using it. We've borrowed one twice send found the crews were loose both times - the second one was very wobbly. Since most people don't carry screwdrivers on vacation, that's something you want to check out before you are all ready to take your shower or bath.

thanks guys for your responses. looks like i'll end up taking one with me. a simple little bathtub stool costs about $35, weighs about 5 pounds, and without a back can be folded for easy transport in a large suitcase. I know the ones you borrow can be in really bad shape. I asked for one on a royal Caribbean cruise and what I got was so wobbly I was afraid to sit on it. I just placed it back outside the cabin for the steward to collect and decided to forget about it.
