...I have! I had my hair cut today from a normal long girlie hairstyle to a really short bob!!!

I've never had anything done like that before. People I know are so shocked by it that they keep just staring at me!

I thought I really liked it but now I'm starting to think it might not be so great! bf won't see it till friday and I'm nervous!

:confused3 :flower: :confused3 :rotfl: :confused3 :Pinkbounc :confused3

i know!!!!!!

my hair was almost to my butt...yes that long...and now its shoulder lenght! The guy cut off too much! I was soooooooooooooo deppressed after it happened! Now i hate it cuz i cant curl it and have it look the way it did!

dont worry! It will grow back! (i hope)

I don't hate it to be honest, the haircut itself is pretty fabulous...but on me???

Let's just say I'm still getting used to it! :confused3

My hair was half way down my back when DH and I got married. One week after we got back from our honeymoon I got it cut in a short stacked bob-- she had to shave my neck it was so short. DH nearly fell out of the chair when I walked in because he didn't know I was going that short.

I cut my long, to middle of back hair to my current very short hair, shaved around the ears. I will never have long hair again! I love short hair! BTW, DH loves it short, and never ever wants me to grow it long. Fine by me!

It is weird to get it cut so short at first, the weirdest feeling is when you wash it for the first time.....

I hope BF loves mine short! He sounded so apprehensive on the phone....
But he's promised me that if he hates it...he won't tell me! :rolleyes1

Yes--I hated it...though everyone LOVED it.

I have been growing it out ever since and have vowed to never ever ever do anything that drastic again...especially when pregnant.

It looked good, it was exactly what I asked for...but I'm just not a short hair kind of person. :( I felt....naked. I like my long "it's just hair" hair. :)

I'm sure your hair looks great!

I cut my hair from waist length to shoulder length in June of this year. What really amazed me was the number of people who DIDN'T NOTICE!.................P

I noticed this too! I went from nearly to waist (grew it out for the wedding) and cut it off a few weeks ago...at least 10in on the bottom, more for all the layers...And I came back to school and only like 2 people in my graduate program noticed, but they all noticed another girl's TRIM! It was crazy. Since then I've had random people notice, so I'm still surprised the people who see me nearly everyday didn't.

The WORST and most drastic haircut I got was inflicted on me by a cranky old lady whom my dm took me to when I was in the 6th grade.

The lady would NOT listen to suggestions on how my dm and I wanted my hair, instead she did what SHE wanted on me... I ended up with a haircut that my dm STILL apologizes for to this day...

I got.. a MULLET!!!!! :faint:

Don't worry, I had a mullet in 6th grade, too! Then to make matters worse, my mom permed it! Triangle look for me!! :scared1:

Awhile back I had a big drastic haircut. When it was time for me to start student teaching and substitute teaching in college I got my waist length hair which was thick and way too heavy cut into the 'Rachel' from Friends cut just above my shoulders. I also went from glasses to contacts and got rid of my black goth look and started dressing more conservative/professional all in the same week. People said it looked like I got an Oprah makeover! :goodvibes

I went from waist length to about an inch and a half in one sitting.

It was funny because my mom always wanted me to cut it and when I did she about had a fit.

Was this an evil plot that all parents were in on in the eighties? I, too, had a permed mullet in the sixth grade!

My most drastic haircut was when DD was a baby. I went from mid-back to short bob. I never did get used to it and couldn't wait for it to grow out! I love short hair on other people, just not myself.

When I was 15 or 16, I had long hair down to almost my waist. I got it cut really, really short and when my mom first saw me after that, she didn't even recognize me. :earseek: I guess from that reaction, you could say it was a drastic haircut!

I went from long hair to a hair length of about one inch :earseek: I had too, I went to someone that screwed up my hair and the only way to look normal was to cut it that short...but, it was o.k. and eventually it grew out...Currently my hair is half way down my back...I just got 4" cut off the other day and yep, if anyone noticed they didn't say anything :rotfl:

I got a super drastic cut about 3 yrs ago. DD's didn't like it at first, DH kept staring at me, and my brother and several friends didn't recognize me!

Almost 2 years ago I got mine cut very short. At first I wasn't sure how I liked it but everyone around me seemed to love it. I've still been keeping it on the short side since then but I want it to grow out enough to be able to pull back. That is something I really miss.

The strangest feeling for me was washing my hair the first few days after the cut. You are in the shower half asleep and you go to wash that long hair and it isn't there. You have to get used to not using so much shampoo.
