Ever gone skinny dipping?

we were driving through NY on our way from and to a festival. stopped in woodstock to do some shopping and maybe wholesale some of our merch. while we were there we went skinny dipping in one of the streams. there were quite a few people, the only bad experience with it was the gargantuan fish that swam between my feet. i was out in a flash!! left my poor DH as bait!! we still talk about it, everyone (including the kids) thinks its hilarious. i was 27ish, he was 31ish.

In high school the guys were required to swim naked in boys gym class. I know that sounds completely weird, it was just a regular public high school.

At the time it seems like they said it had something to do with a practical matter of storing wet bathing suits, but they figured a way around that for the girls (who did not swim naked) (we checked )

That would be my last skinny dip, a looooooong time ago. I don't even like to swim regardless of the attire.

Once as a teenager. I went to an all girls boarding school that had its own lake frontage. Boy was that cold. There were goose bumps on places that should never have goose bumps.

Yes, a handful of times in the ocean, decades ago. Was most likely drunk at the time. Also once at at motel pool in Myrtle Beach.

I doubt I'd do it anymore. Wouldn't want to scare away the sharks.

As a kid I went to the YMCA several times. Men were expected to swim naked there back then.

About 2 years ago the "barn crew" went to our riding instructor's cabin on a lake, and after lots of drinks everyone decided to go skinny dipping.

I immediately became stone sober and refused to go in - not because I was ashamed of my body or anything, but rather because I had no idea what was IN that lake and how clean that water was. I guess I'm more of a germophobe than I realized!

Uhhhhh... I would say that this is a prime example of "it's just our policy" is not an acceptable answer. Something tells me there's a lot more to the story behind that "policy."

It was the accepted norm in some areas back then. There was no negative connotation about it and few people gave it a second thought.

That is why DW won't do it to. She is always saying that she needs protection from "something getting where it shouldn't be." We just got back from renting a house in Florida. The pool was set up perfectly so as not to be seen and I thought I FINALLY had he willing to go skinny dipping with me one late night....but that afternoon a small snake decided to jump in the pool with us. Killed any chance of DW going. I barely got her back in the pool during the day, let alone at night.

Yup. Ocean, lakes, pools, with many different people. It was the 70s and we didn't care. It feels GREAT to swim nude!

In my mid 20s at a friends house on the 4th of July. It was just a bunch of girls hanging out. The fireworks we got to watch was amazing. Great night!

Yes. Hot springs, pools and hot tubs. All between the ages of 19-23. I haven't done it since then because all of us in my group of friends have had kids. Little harder to plan those types of trips/parties with all the little ones around.

Now that the kids are older I have been thinking about planning an adult only trip with everyone again.

I'd have no issue if it were a private pool, even if a snake fell in earlier and was removed. That's a one-off thing. But swimming in a lake? I can barely convince myself WITH a bathing suit on!!
