Ever get TOO excited???

Thank God we have this message board to share our excitement!
We are 18 days out and while I have been excited for months, just today I have started getting the butterflies. I'm practically sick to my stomach. This is a once of a lifetime trip for us, we are going to California for our Disney fix this year. The plane ride and just being all these places we have never been is freaking the whole family out. I hope we made the right choice, I'm wondering if we should have done WDW instead like we had originally planned. I'm starting to regret the choice, I think. Maybe I'm just excited but it's coming out as panic. I'm SO nervous!!
I promise I'm not normally a raving lunatic :rotfl:
I'm just scared/excited/nervous/happy!!!

I am not leaving on vacation soon, and I live 30 minutes from WDW, but I am sitting here all happy & excited, because DD9 and are headed to MK this afternoon MNSSHP. I am such a KID! We have matching shirts to wear - I may even let someone take MY picture, and we are hoping to meet two Dis folks this evening ryanally who is flying from my home town in PA, and Johanna - (can't remember the numbers after her name) who is a CP and will be working the party tonight!

Lucky you! Send us all some pics of MNSSHP!!! Where in PA are you from? I'm a PA girl myself & am heading to the World in December. My in-laws are moving to Orlando next year - how great is that! (I will still stay in a Disney Resort however!)
Hey add another PA girl to the party! How cool is this?? :cool1:

Okay, this is the REAL countdown... this time next week we will be in the Magic Kingdom, sharing the magic with our girls for their first time! I cannot wait to see their little eyes light up. Even our 8 yr old is tickled to share this with his new little sisters. He keeps telling them how great this is going to be, who they will see there, and things to do, (and not do - his first experience at Its Tough To Be A Bug was not a happy one! LOL). He picks even the most insignificant details - like the busses - "Some of the driver's tell jokes and are really funny." Making memories this way - nothing more glorious. The girls would have walked through the castle squealing by this time next week - we would have already experienced Small World, Snow White, Peter Pan, Pooh, and Dumbo -- ooooooo... and the carousel! I would have scored some great photos of our family by now, too. This time next week. YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc  :woohoo: :bounce: :yay:

I sent you a PM but not sure it went thru - got a strange "server error" - if you didn't get it just let me know.

Happy Dis-ing!

I don't think it's strange at all. This is probably really weird, but what helps me sleep is carrying my Disney list around when I'm awake. I'm always thinking about the upcoming trip so I'm not worried because when I think of something I just add it to my list. Mind you we are leaving in 14 days and I've been carring this list around for at least 2 or three weeks before that! :rotfl:

:goodvibes That is exactly what I do. I get a heavy dose of disney blues after the trip so to keep my for bursting my blue bubble, I look at pictures, plan more trips, make tons of lists of must-sees must-dos and what to bring. Dont worry about it, everyone -normal- gets the giddies, and theres is no way to cure them. :wizard:

I leave for Disney in 10 days. We get there Oct 2 and we can't wait. We are watching our Disney movies from last year, looking at pictures and are always online on Disney sites. We go twice a year and the feeling never goes away. It is awesome. :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped:

You all are wonderful! I am so grateful to have been led to the Disboards. *Thanks, John2you* :thumbsup2 The excitement is mounting - LESS THAN A WEEK NOW!!! Knowing that I am in such good company and that I do not have to grow up is fantastic. I don't want the feeling to end - EVER. I have dreams of walking hand in hand with my DH - with our children and their children... right down MAIN STREET! My son is 8 so we have quite some time before living this dream. :rotfl2: But I don't want to ever give up my Disney Dreams.

Yep. Do it every year, every trip. I'm heading full force into that mode right now. I've had my Passporter out reading and rereading. I'm second guessing ADR's. I'm worried that our luggage for 5 won't fit into our Pacifica and we'll have to take the van, which has no built in DVD player for our 3 yo...and we CANNOT drive 1100 miles without it. I'm buying space bags to make sure it all fits. I'm worried my house will burn down or one of us will get seriously ill and then we can't go(of course, if that's the case, I'll care more about my family...but I do this every year). I smell more things Disney, I see more funky "hidden Mickeys", I MAKE "hidden Mickeys", I see and eat food that reminids me of WDW...I could go on, and on, and on...I'm to the point now where I'm ...ummm...having ....ummm...."potty problems" from my nerves....ahem...sorry.  . I'm TOO excited from about 60 days on. And I'll gladly go thru it every year as long as I can get to WDW!

I'm dying, I'm so excited. :rotfl2: We leave in 10 days! How am I gonna concentrate at work this week? I'm already having trouble sleeping.....

I'm excited for all of you. I have no trip in sight. Another PA gal here.

We go to WDW October 11th for an EIGHT night stay at the Grand Floridian and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!! My son will turn ONE there on the 12th and my parents will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary there on the 15th. We have gone every year since my daughter was born in 2002 and I can not get enough of that place! I wish I could go more. When I go to sleep at night I imagine myself sleeping somewhere in the Magic Kingdom after hours. HOW CRAZY IS THAT! I am a grown women! I have already watched the WDW DVD every day along with Disney's Beach Party DVD. Those DVD's and CD's of the WDW experience (ie. parade, shows, rides, etc.) are a little pricey but worth EVERY penny when you come home and need to take yourself back there in your day to day life! I'm rambling...I apoligize. I am new to the boards and new to chat rooms so I will have to keep learning as I go.....thanks for listening!

Now keep reading & asking questions even up to the day B4 you leave. EVERYONE is willing to help.

OH and for those of you who wonder how crazy you are ...... 1153 days till our big trip for our 25th anniversary and if you notice the time stamp on this message you will see how warped my head is  I already loose sleep planning!

I thought it was just me. I even said outloud todaty that I was so worried my house would be robbed while I was away...or that something was going to happen to ruin our time and our excitement. I tend to think negatively when I'm excited...like...it's impossible for things to go off without a hitch. :sad2: I'm trying to make a deal with myself that worrying isn't going to change anything even if it DOES happen...so all I can control is the moment I'm IN. SO.......I'm gonna partayyyyyyyyyyy (ok, AND keep my fingers crossed.... :confused3 )

Hey everyone,
I just bought new luggage yesterday and I found myself wanting to tell everyone that these suitcases are going to Disney!!!

Oh yes....all of a sudden I am parinoid that my kids (DD almost 4yrs. old 41 inches & DBaby going to be a year) are going to get sick or my husbands back is going to go out! I am looking so forward to this trip that I am parinoid something will ruin the MAGIC!!!
(We go to WDW October 11th for an EIGHT night stay at the Grand Floridian)
But really I am excited to find you guys for when I get home. I literally get depressed! I am ashamed of myself when it happens because we have a wonderful life but I just miss the place so darn much!!!! I'm glad I will have you guys to talk to!

We got back a week ago, and I am already planning andgetting excited about our next trip. The next trip is a year away.

I'm with all of you! Otherwise, I don't think we'd be here, talking and reading and enjoying all this magic with each other. I've gotten so much worse after finding the DIS though. I'm always learning and researching and developing IT a bit more everyday. I think we are all emmersed in it.

I am thankful to have the DIS as a resource and an outlet. No one lets me talk disney as much as you can here! :cool1:

YES!!! Every trip. I can never sleep, but I won't take any meds for fear of missing my flight! I usually crash our first night in WDW and wake up bright and early to enjoy the magic!!!
