ever get into your cabin early??

Half my party (me, DDalmost 12, DD10) will be at WDW for a few days at POP before the rest of the family (DH, DS7, DDalmost 3) arrives. We are moving from POP to FW on Sunday, July 8. Has anyone ever gotten their cabin before 3 pm? How early? We want to check in, get settled, get the cart, hopefully get groceries before the rest of the family arrives around 5pm. Is this possible?? (We will have our car with us too.)

We have always been able to get into our cabin around 1:00pm but were are there in Jan and check in on Mon. Since Sunday is when people usually check out it might be harder to get into a cabin early.
