Ever fly somewhere just for the day?

Yep, air line employees do it all the time. We used to fly to DC and easily tour for the day and come home. Also went to the beach in west palm beach. I think I washed my hair in a mcdonald's sink, haha. The longest one day trip, though, was a boat show in CA and took a red eye back home, arrived around 6am. That was tough.

There used to be a restaurant up in Maine, that would pick you up at the airport, feed you all day long, and send you home with a bag of cinnamon rolls, as they dropped you off for your flight. Air line employees always found the best day trips for sure!

Pretty sure I’ve never traveled on a plane round trip in one day.
I’ve traveled overseas more than domestically so flights are longer. Once I get there it’s rare for me to get back on a plane again until it’s time to go home.

Yes. From MCO to DCA for a defense/military meeting. It was a long day.

Yes, many times. Some for work training, most for pleasure. Worst, funeral.

Once about 20 years ago the whole family (4) of us flew to see a World Cup Soccer game when Southwest was offering a great sale.

Same. I do a lot of train travel on vacation, though. Day trips by train are so much easier than by plane.

Yes all the time. We fly to a city that's about an hour flight and fly home that evening. We do that to see elderly in-laws and take them to lunch. We do that once every couple of months or more. Day and overnight trips are great if the flights aren't delayed or cancelled. Flying is always a roll of the dice.
