Ever fly on Labor Day?

Just wondering if its a bad idea and if we should try to leave the day after.

Why do you think it would be a bad idea? I have never flown on Labor Day but I would guess you won't notice a difference.

Many times - just like any other day in my experience! FWIW I have also flown on Christmas, Halloween

Before DH retired from teaching a few years back, we would take the last flight we could get home on Labor Day so he'd make it to school the next day when the teachers had to report in. MCO was not busy that late (approx. 7pm flight) but many extra TSA workers for the expected crowds during the day for the earlier flights.

We've never found flying on Labor Day to be any worse (or better) than other days.

We flew to MCO from PHL on Labor Day in 2009, it was great, not crowded at all. The lines going through security in PHL were minimal and when wegot to MCO there were not many people in line for ME.

We fly on Labour Day almost every year. No big deal at all. However, if you can fly the day after, the fares will be much lower.
