Ever feel that you just aren't supposed to get a pin?

Shawn and I have been trading for a few years now. We haven't had more than one or two bad trades until these past few months. We check references and so far so good. Then in the last few months we have had four of them! We changed our trading routine after the first and starting paying for delivery confirmation when trading with people we haven't before. We sent out new requests for the bad trades and wrote off the first two as bad experiences. Then we hit the third bad trade for a pin I really wanted. Arghhhh! So we send out more requests and start a trade with someone else for the same pin.....another bad trade! What are the odds? Two bad trades for the same pin? Starting to think that maybe I am not supposed to have that pin in my collection! Do we dare try for a third trade for that pin - will the third time be a charm or a curse?!?!?

The suspense is killing me.....what pin is it? I think inquiring minds will want to know! Perhaps it is not <i>you</i>. Perhaps <b>the pin</b> is cursed!

I had one pin---Tigger dressed as Mickey--- that caused me problems for awhile. First, I sent off a trade for it and the person had a problem, the cat ate the pin before she could send it too me. Then, the next time, I traded for it, it got lost in the mail. Same with a third time. Finally was able to trade for it though and it is still one of my favorites. Better be good after all of that!

Honestly? Never! If I want a pin I don't stop until I get it. So far it's worked out well for me. Sure it may not be easy to get it or to even find it. But in the end it's -well- worth it. There's nothing better then finally adding a pin to my pin book that just set's all the others off or completes a collection. It's what drives me to keep trading. The holy grails are the best part. Looking for them is half the fun. Good luck with getting your pin.
