The boys look like they had so much fun playing in the Boneyard. We didn't get a chance to take Reid to it on our trip since we did a short day at AK.

I've haven't been on the boards for a few days because we've been moving. Weren't you guys going to be moving around this time, also? Or am I remembering that wrong? Well, if y'all did, hope it all went well!

I bet Reid would love to play in the Boneyard. I always think AK is one of the best parks for little kids. My boys always seem to have fun there. And so do I.

Yes, we have moved, too. Our house is successfully closed and no longer owned by us. There's still a ton of unpacking to do, but there's no rush there. Did your move go well?

I decided to make Landon's dreams come true by holding his hands so he could walk through the Boneyard. He walked with a swagger, clearly proud that he was walking all on his own, except for the fact that he was holding hands. Carter stuck close by, being a very good helper.

I led the boys over to the Digsite, since I knew they'd have fun digging. They couldn't wait to dig in with both hands and uncover some bones.

I sat on a ledge and watched the boys hard at work. They were both happily digging away and unlike on the stairs, they did not need close supervision.

I kept a careful eye on the sky, which was overcast. Several years of living in Florida had taught me how to tell when rain was imminent. I judged that rain would be coming at some point, but not yet.

After awhile, Carter started complaining about his shoes. His Crocs were full of Digsite rocks, which would clearly be uncomfortable, but I knew what happens when kids go barefoot in the Digsite.

Just then, Landon picked up a big handful of Digsite rocks and shoved them all in his mouth. He saw me looking at him and put on his innocent face.

He wasn't eating anything. Nothing at all.

His bulging cheeks gave him away and I made him spit out his rocks.

Carter mentioned his shoes hurting again and while I was emptying his Crocs, Landon picked up another handful of rocks to eat.

It was then that I decided we'd had enough of the Digsite.

I made Landon get rid of his rocks again and we left the Digsite, pausing briefly to empty Carter's shoes again.

I let the boys do some more Boneyard exploring and we found a fun area by the top of some slides.

The boys were having a great time playing up there, although once again, it didn't look like they were doing anything in particular.

The fun ended when Landon figured out that there were some slides just a few feet away. He thought he should go down one of them and I thought he shouldn't.

I was uneasy about my ability to safely get all three of us down a tunnel slide and I wasn't about to let Landon go down alone. Carter wanted no piece of the slide anyway. He likes little slides, which these weren't.

I took everyone back the way we had came. Instead of going down a slide or stairs, we opted for a ramp.

I held hands with Landon again, so he could go down the ramp walking. Carter ran down enthusiastically.

"Down, down, down, down, down!"

"Good job, Carter. Ramps are fun, aren't they?"

We reached the end of the ramp and we went over to the truck to play for a bit.

Carter and Landon loved being in the truck. They crawled and played and giggled.

The boys probably would have stayed to play in that truck a long time. It might even have been more fun than the stairs.

The fun was ended by the sky turning ominous. Rain was coming and it was coming soon. We needed to get indoors before it was too late.

I picked up Landon and asked Carter to show me how fast he could go and we hurried out of the Boneyard.

What fun the boys are having! I can just see Landon putting those rocks in his mouth and looking like a chipmunk but innocent as all heck. And I can certainly see why those rocks would bother Landon getting in his crocs. Ouch.

Yeah for two pairs of shoes at the digsite! And you are smart to leave your Disney Dooney in the room!

Landon eating rocks- how funny! I'm glad that you caught him before he swallowed a few, those little boys can be so crafty!

It sounds like Carter was such a good helper! He is such a sweet boy.

I hope you made it under shelter in time! I can imagine that it must be tough to get a rain cover over a double stroller!

Thankfully, all went well for our closing on Wednesday. And we got our furniture delivered to our new house on Thursday. I finished unpacking us today (I hate looking at boxes), so now I just have to put on the finishing touches (hang pictures, curtains, etc). So glad all has gone well for both of us!

Loved the update! The pictures of the boys digging around & playing are too cute! I hope y'all got to shelter before the rain broke loose!

Without kids, there's no reason to ever go there. Of course there's plenty of other things to do in Dinoland. Don't you all like Dinosaur?

And I have to say that after our first experience with Dinosaur, NO we don't like it! We should have gone to the Boneyard instead. I'm sure my two would have liked it much better, even though they are 6 and 8.

Sounds like the boys were having a lot of fun, even with the rocks in the shoe and the slides teasing Landon. And I'm happy to see this Boneyard experience was more pleasant than December's.

Poor Carter, rocks in the shoes are the worst feeling there is. That was a good decision to make him keep them on though. We wouldn't want a run in with any over zealous CM's. I'm glad Landon got to go strutting through the Boneyard like a big boy. I never realized how delcious rocks were though.

They were having a blast. I wish I had gotten a picture of Landon with all the rocks in his mouth and his innocent face. It was pretty cute, but I thought it would be best to remove the rocks right away.

We were much more successful at the Digsite with two pairs of shoes, although those Crocs were kind of tough for Carter to manage.

I'm sure if I had brought my Disney Dooney, I'd have been paranoid about something happening to it all day.

I'm glad he didn't swallow any, too. I'm not sure what those rocks are made of, but I don't think they're supposed to be eaten. Landon is very crafty. He knew I wouldn't want him to eat them.

Carter was a great helper. If he hadn't been so helpful, I don't know how easily we could have played in the Boneyard.

It would have been very tough to get a rain cover over the double stroller, as I hadn't brought a rain cover with me. I don't think we've had Disney rain in over five years.

Glad to hear your closing went well, too. It sounds like you're way ahead of me on unpacking. We're a long way from being unpacked. The boys have had some problems napping in the new house, and unpacking during nap time seems to make it worse, leaving me with no choice but to spend nap time on the DIS.

They were having a lot of fun playing that day. It was too bad the rain had to spoil all the fun.

But Dinosaur is so much fun! I'm sure the Carnotaurus hardly ever eats anyone. I can see how it might be intense for kids, though. The Boneyard's a good alternative.

The Boneyard is always one of the places where the boys have the most fun. I'm glad Disney included cool playgrounds, for those of us who need them. I hadn't thought of eating rocks in the Digsite either, but apparently, they looked great to Landon.

They were having a lot of fun. I do wish I could have taken Landon down some slides. If I had had Jeremy there to stay with Carter, I would have gone with him, but alone, it just wasn't feasible. Maybe Landon can slide next time.

I did feel bad for Carter with the rocks in his shoes. I was wearing sandals and the rocks were getting to me, too. It seems like a perfect place to go barefoot.

Landon sure thought he was big stuff, walking through the Boneyard. He's a lot happier now that he can actually walk. I hope Landon forgets how delicious those rocks were before we go back in October.

I guess technically, Landon never got to actually eat any rocks, he just got to taste them. He and Carter had a lot of fun playing there.

They were about to become a handful, although through no fault of Carter's. I'm sure his shoes were uncomfortable. And of course, Landon knew to eat the rocks as soon as I was occupied with Carter. I don't know if all younger ones are tricky, but of my two, Landon is by far the trickiest.

Eying the skies nervously, I began to walk toward the Baby Care Center. I figured that would be the best place to wait out the rain. The boys would be happy there for a long time.

I had barely made it to Discovery Island when I felt a rain drop. It would be pouring any second now and I would never make it to the Baby Care Center in time.

I came upon Flame Tree Barbecue and saw that it was now open. It was a bit early for lunch, but it would get us out of the rain for a bit.

I pulled up to the register and ordered the barbecue chicken salad for me and a kids' hot dog meal for the boys to share. The CM who took my order asked if I was alone and I said I was.

She offered to carry the tray to our table for me, which I appreciated. I probably could have managed, but it was easier to not have to.

I found my favorite table, overlooking Everest. The place was deserted when we got there, which was nice. It's always easier to eat with the boys when there's no one around to be disturbed.

I got everyone's chairs and food ready, and despite Landon's claims to the contrary, he did not starve before he got set up with his food.

I made sure that Landon's hot dog and grapes were not choking hazards and gave him a fork to hold while he ate. He likes that.

My salad looked wonderful. I suppose I should have gotten the ribs, in order to make the most of the dining plan, but I just wanted the salad.

My salad had two crunchy pieces of flat bread sticking out of it and before I could start eating, Carter helped himself to one of them and put it on his own plate.

Being a kind and generous mother, I let him keep it, gave Landon a piece of one, too, and ate the rest of mine quickly, before any little boys could ask for it.

The rain started pouring down, and I didn't mind a bit. We were comfortable and dry. It was actually kind of fun to watch the rain come down.

I showed Landon how to dip his hot dog bites into his ketchup, which he enjoyed doing.

Carter wanted in on the dipping fun and dipped a grape in ketchup. Since he doesn't like ketchup, he offered to feed it to me.

Being a kind and generous mother, I ate it.

"Thank you, Carter. That was very nice."

He grinned. I surreptitiously moved his ketchup out of view and he lost interest in dipping.

Landon, on the other hand, was still dipping away. He had now forgone the hot dog altogether and was just having ketchup fingers.

I was glad I had packed lots of Wet Ones.

The rain came down even harder and the area began to fill up with other people getting out of the rain.

Carter watched the rain with great interest. He likes rain and if I had let him, he'd be happy to stand in the rain, getting soaking wet and splashing in puddles.

My salad was good and the boys were easy. It was a great lunch.

I had opted for Key Lime mousse for dessert. As soon as I got it out, Carter and Landon were very interested.

I hesitated before giving Landon a bite. If he was getting sick, then it would be a mistake to share a dessert with him and spread the germs to Carter and me.

But we had just shared the Tie Dye cheesecake the night before. The germ-free ship had sailed. If Landon was sick, it was probably too late to isolate the germs.

The three of us ate the key lime mousse together.

By the time we were done eating, the rain had slowed up considerably. We could venture out safely now. But first, I had the daunting task of cleaning the ketchup off Landon.

i so love flame tree. my and devyn love the ribs. Salad is a good choice. i should try eating those! glad the weather got better!
