Love the update! So glad y'all didn't run out of gas & found a nice hotel as well!
Oh, boys & their endless amounts of energy. I often wish I had 1/4 of my son's energy. But, the part with them singing & then laughing really got me laughing, too. And now I have that song stuck in head as I'm about to head to my bed & try to go to sleep.
We were very happy to see that gas station. We've never run out of gas yet, and I didn't want to start that night.
It's funny, long car rides always make me tired, but they always seem to wind the boys up. I think the singing and laughing would have been a lot more enjoyable at the time, if it hadn't been so late. Apparently, Shake It is a good song choice for going to sleep. It seemed to work for Carter.
Joining in! That hotel sounds really creepy! I'm glad you guys found a nicer place to stay and didn't run out of gas!
Hey, you're back!

I'll be watching for your TR. The hotel was definitely giving me the creeps. It all worked out fine in the end, though.
My Kids get really goofy at night when they are tired too! I have no idea where they get that Behavior from

I can't complain though. It's better than the alternative grumpiness
I'm so glad you found a nice quiet fluffy hotel! Hamptons are pretty decent in my area too
I'm sure they don't get it from us.

Singing and laughing was certainly better than listening to them crying and screaming themselves to sleep, so I guess I can't complain either.
That Hampton Inn seemed really nice. We would stay there again, but it was awfully far to drive. We'd have to leave earlier or something.
I can't believe the boys weren't exhausted either! Don't you wish you had half their energy sometimes!
Your update made me feel better about the trials and tribulations of trying to get toddlers to sleep in hotel rooms. I'm glad I'm not the only one with kids who don't magically drift off to sleep without protest as soon as their heads hit the pillow! I do have to admit that Carter singing metro station made me laugh! At least it was better than crying!
They sure should have been exhausted. It's too bad I didn't have the same energy as them that night. Carter was a little unsure of the lyrics on the verses, and I could have helped him out.
My boys hardly ever go to sleep perfectly quietly. The best we can usually hope for is no crying. And I really don't mind a little bit of talking and singing before bed. It is funny that Carter sings Metro Station. I guess I've been playing my iPod in the car since he was born, so he might know all my songs.
I'm glad you didn't run out of gas and good call on the Hampton Inn.

Their beds really are pretty comfortable.
There's just something about being a kid in a hotel. You always have to explore and jump on the bed. I think it is a kid law or something. I'm sorry they decided to sing when all you wanted to do was sleep, but at least the laughing and singing must have lulled them to sleep as well.
Something about that Hampton Billboard just looked so nice. It was a good choice, although I think we were all tired enough that it wouldn't have mattered too much how the beds were.
I do remember hotels being very exciting when I was a kid. Jumping on the bed was such fun. The laughing and singing really was pretty cute, if only it had been earlier. But it did help them get to sleep, so that's good.
So glad that you made it on gas and got to a Hampton Inn. We love Hampton Inns...we've always had spotless rooms and very comfortable beds.
I love how Carter was jumping on the bed and Landon is checking things out for, perhaps, bed bugs, to keep his family safe?
I told Jeremy we should always stop at Hampton Inns from now on. Our room was very clean. The boys didn't even get dirty from crawling around on the floor.
Landon probably was checking for bed bugs.

Landon to the rescue!
Subbing! I'm glad you stayed in the nicer hotel...sleeping in a scary gross place wouldn't be a fun way to start off any vacation!
Hi! Thanks for joining in! I'm really glad we stayed at the nicer hotel, too. Next time, we won't bother with booking ahead of time.
Your boys are just so adorable. Their laughing and enjoying each other in the dark just sounds precious...unless of course all you want to do is sleep and get to WDW!

I am glad you decided to skip that sketchy hotel. Your peace of mind is worth way more that $20.
Thanks! I wish I had thought to record the singing and laughing on my phone, because it really was very cute, but at the time, I was just thinking they should go to sleep.

The nicer hotel was worth much more than $20. It was a very pleasant place to spend the night.
