Ever done the pirate cruise?

DS pirate: (5) is booked for the Albatross adventure on Jan 11th out of YC. We are super excited, have read nothing but good reviews here and on other sites. From what I've read both cruises are very similar there was just such a high demand so they added a second, or at least that is what I read. It cost about $30.00 total, maybe a little less. Have fun!

We just booked the cruise for Jan. We are staying at the BCV and so I requested the Albatross Cruise, but she had never heard of it. I was thrilled to get the one at the Grand Floridian. Now I'm thinking I should call again for the Albatross. Is it about the same cruise? Or is it totally different? Would it be too much to do both during one trip? Thanks.

The one out of the Grand Floridian does Bay Lake and stops by the marinas at the WL, CR and the Poly. The one out of the Y&BC does Cresent Lake and WS and stops in Canada, Japan and the BW (I think - my kids weren't clear on the itenerary). Both have similar plots. Personally, I think its a lot to dedicate one morning at WDW to this (mornings being prime park time for our family), but it depends on what you want out of your vacation and how long you are going for. My kids would certainly have gotten more joy out of two pirate cruises at 5 and 6 than they would of out of one pirate cruise and mini golf. (But they'd rather have one pirate cruise and MORE RIDES!)

Beccawes7471 - My DS 6 and DS 4 as well as my four year old nephew are booked on the Albatross Cruise on the 11th as well. We have done the pirate cruise from the Grand Floridian and loved it. We are staying at BWV this time so thought we would try the Albatross. I will look for you that morning!

Thanks for the info Crisi. We are staying 9 nights, so one morning on the Pirate Cruise shouldn't set us back too far. Plus, my little ones can only handle a few hours on the rides or they begin to have their meltdowns. So this will give us a good break from the over stimulation of the parks. We will be going on the GF cruise on the 26th. This is so exciting.
