The Enron trial is going on a block from my building so I walked over there at lunch. A friend of mine who is a mounted police officer is working the area and escorts the two defendents across the street as they leave and come back for lunch. I saw him and started talking to him and he says, "you used to work for Enron, didn't you?" I say yeah a long time ago. Well the next thing you know reporters and cameras come up and ask me if I'll an swer some questions. They ask my name and I say I'd really not say because my current employer frowns on us being in the media without their knowledge and consent. I was quoted in the Houston Chronicle about gas trading several years ago and almost lost my job because of it, so I knew better. Well stupid me I answer the reporters questions and the next thing you know I have six cameras in my face. My only saving grace is I refused to give my name throughout the interview and even when the cameras were off still would not give my name. I finished visiting with my friend and walked back to work. I just hope they don't use any of it. But if they do and you see a guy in a orange shirt and kakhi pants being interviewed on TV about Enron, well it's me brerrabbit. I just feel so stupid for giving in and answering the questions and hope it doesn't come back to bite me.
