Ever buy a new vehicle and then immediately return it?

Oh my gosh! I would never buy I vehicle that I hadn't physically laid my hands on! Whether or not they had the exact same kind in a different color on the lot- I would want to inspect the vehicle that I am actually taking home before signing any papers.

I sort of did. I test drove a jeep at a dealership but it was a color i didn't like. I went online and searched for the features I wanted and found one. I called the dealer and gave him all the info. He got it in and had all the paperwork ready to go.

I saw the jeep as i pulled in, it looked better than i anticipated so i signed and then DH drove it off the lot! I owned it a few hours before driving it.

now, the OP didn't ask if she did the right thing. She asked how to fix it. OP, glad it worked out for you! I would have returned it too in your case.
