I booked through a company that has been in business since 1978 so i figured they were ok. well i kinda got worried when i have not received emails back from them. well i called today and she said she has been busy.( i guess this is the time of the year TA are busy.) well anyway she is sending me confirmation from disney so until i get that i guess i will still be worried.

Hopefully you received your confirmation number in an email. If so, just call DCL to verify that deposit has been received. They can't tell you much since you booked through a TA, but they can definitely tell you that much!

I booked my cruise a couple of weeks ago for my September 2006 cruise, and my TA sent me:

--an itinerary showing all cruise information, the reservation #, my cabin #, the amount paid and due, and the payment method, as well as the names and birthdates of all passengers.

--a piece of paper with the cancellation policy, ID requirements, all kinds of information on what's required for the cruise, plus some kind of consumer disclosure which I think I read through...

--a brochure for travel insurance (I declined the Disney coverage)

--a receipt for my payment

--a business card with all kinds of contact information

--a cruise book and DVD (which we didn't have)

The receipt shows that we put the deposit down on 4/11, and he priority mailed the info to us. I can understand a TA being busy! But I hope you get the information you want soon.

This is not to scare you, it's just a story I recall.

Several years ago, two of my cousins (both 18 or 19 at the time) decided to go to FL for a week, so they went to a TA and book a flight and hotel. They had brochures for the hotel, etc.

But when they got down there and drove to the hotel, it wasn't there! They stopped at another hotel near where theirs was supposed to be address-wise and they said they never heard of it! So they were stranded there without enough money to stay at another hotel for a week. I think they had to sleep in their car for a few nights.

Were you given a confirmation via phone? Even if the agent is busy and has fallen behind on their paperwork, they should still have the number to give you if you call them.
