Ever book a room through Priceline?

Or bookit.com? If you have because it was cheaper did everything work out ok? I've used those sites before but never for Disney. Don't need a package or tickets just a Disney resort. Will it all work out fine?

I don't believe that you can get a Disney hotel from priceline.com. When I say a Disney hotel I mean one of their properties. I know you can book hotels near Disney or near Downtown Disney. I'm 99.99% sure that you can't book an official Disney hotel property through priceline.com.

I put in for August 20-24 on Priceline and it pulls up the values, mods etc

I'm sorry. I though you were using the name your price option! My bad! I compared the price on priceline and disneyworld.com using august 20-24 for just a hotel and they are the exact same prices. In my opinion, there is no point in using priceline over disneyworld.com if it is the same price.

That's ok :)
I also looked at another date and it was $58 cheaper on hotels.com (not the 20-24) Do you think Disney would match it? If not then would I be safe to book through them for a Disney resort? I have used hotels.com before.

I booked the Poly through Expedia once. I tried to book it through Disney, but Disney was sold out of Poly rooms.

When I checked in, they couldn't find the reservation. It took forever, with me supplying the confirm # and them making like 8 million phone calls.

I had booked it the day before I arrived and they said that was the problem.

The room rate depends on the day of the week, time of the year, and type of room. If you used a different date, that may explain the difference in price. I don't think Disney would match it. I looked at hotels.com and the price is the same as disneyworld.com as well. I don't think that there is any reason to purchase the room from another site.

The only reason I would not book a Disney resort there is simply because once it's booked, it's booked. Disney is more flexible if you need to change dates and so on while if you book with a 3rd party, it is what it is. Also with Disney, you can always call back if a better offer comes out and have your rate changed.

I can think of one reason to book thru a booking website. For anyone participating with Upromise, most of the booking engines participate. If you book the same room at the same rate, then at least a portion of your vacation would help put the kiddos thru college.
