Ever any sales/coupons for L.L. Bean?

I've never purchased anything from L.L. Bean before but DH is working downtown now & walks several blocks to get to his office building... I'm guessing it's going to be pretty frigid for him this winter so I'm getting him a new coat, gloves & hat for Christmas. I heard L.L. Bean has some quality stuff & my parent's had a catalog so I picked out the items that I wanted.

Before I order online I wanted to check and see if there's ever any coupon codes or sales for their site? I checked a couple coupon sites & didn't see any usable codes there. What about a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale?

I buy from LL Bean al the time, we are fortunate to live near an outlet and a retail store. The outlet is AMAZING if you hit it correctly, I have scored kids winter coats for $20 during some of the sales. The best deals are on the long weekends (Columbus Day, etc) you can get up to an additional 50% off the outlet prices.

As far as the catalog they do have a sale section and a deal of the day link that sometimes gives a good discount. I have also seen them offer a $10 gift card with a $50 purchase. Shipping is always free. Don't think I have ever seen a code that takes a percentage off...anyone?

The retail stores often have clearance sales and specials such as 20% off all hiking or biking, etc. I am on their email list so they let me know the weekends they are having sales.

At the beginning of the year one was posted on this board for 30% off, so yes, they do offer codes sometimes. I am waiting for another one.

Try Lands End too. Right now they are offering $40 off when you spend $100. Yesterday they had all turtlenecks on sale for $10 each so that was 10 turtlenecks for $60. Plus got DD some uniform clothing and jacket at basically 40% off.
