Ever accidentally click on a DISer's name and end up at their Profile?

I have done that more than once, and since one of the recent upgrades you can now see who has been looking at whose profiles . I have done it accidentally as I'm just browsing around and tap the mouse, and also when I have tried to get a closer look at interesting avatars . And I've looked at a few on purpose . I always think, "oops", after I end up at a profile because I'm just sure they'll think I'm a stalker . I bet most people never go to their own profile, though.

But you know what am I really, really happy about? I'm so glad that Facebook doesn't have that "feature" ! Does it??

Yeah, I am an "accidental stalker," too! Once, I clicked on someone's avatar to see if I could see it as a larger pic-no, I just stalked them!

I have done this to death too...my eye sight is already crappy and I'm a drive by stalker to many people , I don't even worry about it now, but at first it did bug me out, but in the sceme of things big deal.

All the time. There was a recent thread where people were discussing why people were visiting their profiles. I suggested that most of the visits are accidents and was ignored. I guess they felt more popular thinking it was personal?

Yep - quite a few times.. I've been having all sorts of problems since so many things changed with the new server.. Half the time I can't figure out how to get into my own PM's - and I can't figure out this "friend request" thing for the life of me..

So if I visited any of you, it was by accident - and if you have made a friend request, I'm not ignoring you, just don't know what I'm supposed to do about them (or "how")..

Seriously, people think that they're "popular" if they have a lot of viewings of their profile ? Couldn't you just view your own a bunch of times? I'm not 100% sure it adds one if you view your own. But if it does, that's like saying you are one of the most prolific posters but all you've posted on is replies on game threads or "happy birthday" on birthday threads.

Does it show you who has viewed your profile? Or is it just a generic count?

It shows you some of the people who have looked - like maybe the last 10 people. But then there is also a total count.

I have quite a few viewings on mine and I just assumed it was from me clicking my profile or they were accidental. I recognize most of the DISers that post regularly and I didn't see anyone I recognized when I check my profile, except for you KristaTX

I just looked at yours as a test. Now I show up as having looked at your profile, but I'm the only one. But there have been 33 viewings . I don't know how that adds up, unless it counts you as a viewer every time you view your own profile, but just doesn't list you as one of the viewers. Or maybe moderators and webmasters don't show up by name if they view it, but still count as a viewer.

I've been "visited" 36 times but only 3 names show. I have no idea who two of the names are, the third was someone I've pm'd.

I never put anything personal about myself "out there". If another Diser has a burning desire to find out something about me, they are more than welcome to pm me.
That statement does not mean I'd tell them anything!

I can't believe people were arguing about why people visit profile pages or thinking they were somehow very popular. I don't even look at mine except when I am tinkering with my user settings.

I stalk people when I'm on the iTouch all the time. I try to zoom in and bam end up on profiles... I've stalked a lot of people..

and because i'm very bored and should be sleeping I stalked everyone on this thread.. just a drop by stalking
