EVENT Swap: COMPLETE

I think I understand what you are talking about but I don't know how to do this. To use her cuts, I have been cutting all the different colors and cutting out the whole paper piecing at once. Really a PITA.

When I made Mike, I just put the different color paper where I wanted it on the mat. It looked like a quilt, but they were already grouped with the proper colors. The blacks together, the whites, the greens and the lonely little blue.

Yes, that is what I have been doing. I think if I was only making one, this would be fine -- plus it kind of forces you to go to your scraps first. When you are cutting for a swap (which is almost always the case for me!), I rarely have a scrap big enough and I find the whole process of cutting the paper and placing it on the mat to be a time consuming pain in the rear.

What I have been doing is creating a different layer for each color of a paper piecing- I do it with enough copies of the pieces for the whole group- so if I was doing a basic Mickey Head I would have a file called black in the mickey folder that only has the parts to cut in black and then I will have another file for flesh, and one for white, and so on. I just use my copy and paste function- I know I use a different machine but I am guessing there has to be some kind of a copy and paste function you could use. If nothing else save the whole file enough times to have 1 for each color and then only keep the color you want to cut in each saved file.

All of my groups are completed and bagged/tagged. I'll be mailing them on Monday. I am planning to try and post photos of the groups I just finished tomorrow afternoon sometime. I think they turned out nice.

Okay, here are photos of my groups I finished up. Hope you ladies like them.:)

Mini Page Kits:
Group 4 MVMCP-- Meet Santa:
My first SCAL title ever (thanks to AWM doing a phone conference to help me out :thumbsup2). The string on this is sparkly and fuzzy and looks cute with santa's fur trimmed clothes.

Group 6 General Disney Christmas:
The wreath is made from little Mickey heads. It has a bunch of smaller red mickey heads for the berries. I took pictures of all these different interesting wreaths all over disney world so I'm using my kit for a page just featuring wreath pictures.

Group 8 WDW Holiday Parades--Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade:
I love the silver snowflakes on this...they are metal and so detailed and pretty. I found them at a local scrapbook store here. A picture can slide under the snowbank on the one photo mat.

Group 9 Holiday Decor at the Resorts--Grand Floridian Gingerbread House:
The photos can slide under the scallop "gingerbread roof tiles" on the photo mats. The heart border looks like the gingerbread hearts all over the house. The title says: A Gingerbread House On A Grand Scale

Group C Disney Christmas--title:
This is for DHS. They decorate with tinsel all over the lamp posts.

For group 0, Villains

THe Evil Queen is an svg file from Mardenz. I welded the title in CDS, embossed it with the spider web cuttlebug folder and then sanded it -- coredinations paper.
