HI,

I have packed for the day time for our holiday - about 10 vest/tshirt type tops and 5 pairs of shorts. I have a couple of smarter (but still casual) tops for the evening and a denim skirt. What I wanted to know is:

1. is it too hot in the evenings for jeans or trousers?
2. would H need to take a pair of trousers for anything? he is taking a couple of nice short sleeved shirts but doesn't know if a couple of pairs of chino type shorts will suffice.

Ta muchly!!!!

hi there, we went this time last year and DW wore similar to what u describe. i'm one of lifes "cold" people and insisted on taking one pair of jeans. They didn't even make it out of the case!!! we regularly arrived back at the hotel between 9 and 11pm and even then it was warm (and humid) enough to have me running for the pool. with it being thunderstorm season it mostly felt like it does just before a thunderstorm in the UK. even in the air-con buildings i didn't feel the need for any more than a thin t-shirt and shorts. Wont be taking jeans to FL again, wife still laughing at me now!!!:jester: :Pinkbounc

Hi Lisa,

Are you planning on eating anywhere "posh" such as Victoria and Albert's?

If you are then yes pack something smarter. If not then don't worry, virtually everyone will be in their theme park attire.

If you are the sort of people that will feel too casual going out for dinner unless you look smarter then by all means be smarter. The vast majority of people won't be though!

I August I would say yes far too hot for trousers but this is only my opinion (and bear in mind that some restaurants are so cold with air con that trousers may be a blessing :)) Chino shorts should be fine (except in Victoria & Albert's!)

Some people dress up slightly for the other less casual restaurants such as the Flying Fish, Citrico's etc but again do whatever you feel most comfortable doing.

no we aren't eating anywhere posh but I like to make a little more of an effort in the evening - nothing posh just not another vest and pair of shorts ! lol!

I always change to go out in the evening, as your "day clothes" get hot and sweaty!! Its nice to pop on some smarter chino style shorts for the evening, although, as has been said, in all but the smartest places, your sweaty park gear would suffice!

I too took jeans on my first couple of trips, but now realise they are just taking up precious "shopping space";) . Ive never worn them yet either!

Wear what you feel comfortable in! Orlando is a very diverse place...you will never believe what some people wear to walk around a theme park in. Check this site out for some tips on what NOT to wear!!

Dont take too much.....If you run out of clothes, then, well, you will just HAVE to go shopping ;) .
