We're leaving for our Disney vacation in less than two weeks! I can't wait!

With the cutback in hours I am trying to come up with things to do in the evenings with my family. We are staying at POR. I was thinking of booking a dinner at Chef Mickey's and that we'd hang out on the Boardwalk. Also Downtown Disney, which is just a boat ride away. I'd welcome any other evening suggestions!

The real question is about transportation. Do buses run in the evenings to go from resort to resort? There will be 7 or 9 of us at any given time. What is the best way to get around the parks after hours? At first I was concerned about the cutbacks Disney is making but I refuse to let anything ruin our hard-earned vacation. Disney here we come. Thanks!:pinkbounc

Busses do not run from resort to resort. You would have to use "hubs" to get from here to there. The TTC, DTD or a theme park.

An example might be to get from Boardwalk to POR would be BW to DTD to POR.

As long as the parks are open you can use one of them as a hub to transfer to a different resort bus. For example, if Epcot closes at 9:00 you can use it as a hub until about 10:00. After that you must take the long ride out to Downtown Disney and transfer there. Buses run from Pleasure Island to the resorts until 2:00 a.m. The TTC is not an option, as resort buses do not go there (exceptions are Wilderness Lodge and Ft Wildeness).
