Evening in parks solo?

You've given me hope that I can do this on my ECV. I never thought of staying in a Monorail resort. It would give me so much more freedom. I usually stay at Old Key West and getting around from there is difficult. I own at BCV too. Maybe that would be a good choice so I can just ride into Epcot whenever I wanted to.

I think BCV would be a fantastic choice for a solo stay! Easy access to EPCOT, as well as HWS and the option to monorail over to MK if you are so inclined.

I actually haven't done a complete solo trip yet (doing that in October), but the last three trips I've taken I usually do my own thing at least once for a few hours. I've never felt weird or had anyone look at me strangely.

I usually end up talking to whomever is around me and just have a good time meeting people. Of course, if you're an introvert, striking up conversations with strangers might seem daunting. Nothing a couple shots of Patron can't fix though!

Just remember, even if you say something ridiculous or do something embarrassing, who cares! You'll never see the people again.

Good luck!

Epcot is a good park for a solo trip. I have walked around the world by myself and enjoyed it. I tried the same thing at AK and quickly left.

At AK, I like to watch the gorillas and talk to the cast members who know about the gorillas. Ask them which gorilla likes which other gorilla. It's like a soap opera. I could happily spend 45 minutes there. This is something I do when I'm by myself; my family and friends do not find it equally fascinating. I also like to take pictures of the animals.

At Magic Kingdom and Epcot, I like to go in the shops. Every. Single. Shop. This is another thing my family and friends do not find equally fascinating.

On the other hand, I do not like parades. Or It's A Small World. Or any ride which tends to make people motion sick. These are things I get to skip when I am by myself.

Ooh, thanks-I'll do that! I love to watch the Bachelor gorillas go in for the night. I learned about this on a solo trip. The CM explained to me that they have to go in separately, because if they get too close to each other, they'll play "push and shove" and chase each other around. So the CM distracts the others by giving them snacks while one goes in. Then someone on a walkie-talkie tells him it's OK to let another go in, etc. I used to teach middle school, and it reminds me of the fact that I could never let two middle school boys (all boys school) go to the pencil sharpener at the same time. Ah, yes-the "push and shove" games!
