Evening Extra Magic Hours

My son and his friend are going to be staying at BWV on my points for a week in November. If they want to take advantage of the evening extended hours at Epcot or MK do they have to get a wrist band or check in somewhere to prove they are eligible?

Once the park closes to regular visitors there are CMs stationed at the line queue entries who scan bands/cards/phones & will only let those eligible get in line. The problem IME is that since EMH are only 2 hours if the regular line is long at closing it can still be a long wait for a popular ride to cycle through all the regular folks who were in line before EMH started.
