Evening Extra Magic hours?

We are staying in Disney and plan on doing EMH at Magic Kingdom. Do we have to arrive before park closing or can we be admitted say from 9pm to 11pm? The official park closing is 8pm that night. Thanks in advance.

My understanding is you can get them up to two hours prior and anytime there after - even after EMH's have began.

I was a little unsure about it, but sure enough-I did it in September, and there were lots of other people enterring then. I watched "Wishes" from the CG, then took the Monorail to the MK.
