Hi I was just wondering what I heard if it was true. I heard that when the parks have evening extra magic hours the park is less crowded in the morning/slash afternoon

Don't have personal experience with this, but from research on here, it seems that many people say that the park with evening EMH is the most crowded -- even during the day. I've decided to try the plan of going to that park the next day.

Having said all that, however, you will get differing opinions about this. :)

The morning crowd seemed lower because it wasn't the early entry, but by afternoon it was the regular crowd.

I agree that the morning crowd seemed less, but crowds seemed normal by afternnon. We were there in June/July 2005.

This year we decided to do the parks with Evening EMH every day. NEVER AGAIN! I should have know when we went to get in line for the bus every morning, it was the most crowded line by far. We always go to the parks before they open and I didn't notice any of them less crowded, as a matter of fact they just got more crowded as the day went on.

Next year we will plan to never go to a park with EMH. Most of the touring plans also recommend staying away from parks that have EMH that day.

But, to each his own!

wdwfanatik - you can get the wrist bands no earlier than 2 hours before normal park closing. Here's where you get them:

Magic Kingdom
Main Entrance
Caribbean Plaza near El Pirata Y el Perico
Liberty Square Riverboat Landing
Across from the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Timekeeper Entrance
Castle Rose Garden near the Tomorrowland entrance

Epcot - Main Entrance
Future World East Breezeway
Future World West Breezeway
International Gateway
Mexico Bridge
Future World Bridge leading to Showcase Plaza

MGM - Main Entrance to the right of Oscar's Super Service
Echo Lake to the left of Dinosaur Gertie's
Sunset Ranch near Anaheim Produce
Courtyard near Rock 'n' Roller Coaster

Animal Kingdom - Main Entrance Oasis near Garden Gate gifts
It's Tough to be a Bug Fastpass Location
Africa - Harambe School
Kali River Rapids Fastpass Location
Dinoland - Near the Boneyard

We plan to go to a park in the morning, then have a rest at the hotel, then 2 hours before normal closing time, go to the park with the evening EMH, then get our wrist bands, have dinner and then it should be time to ride the rides. If it works then we will carry on doing it and if not we will rearrange our itinerary while we are there.

I think it all depends on what time of year you are there. I was always a firm believer in staying away from the parks on EMH days, as I found them to be the most crowded. But last week, we went to EMH and it worked out really well. We did MK for morning & evening EMH and pretty much walked on everything and were out of the parks before it got too crowded. Epcot evening EMH was a bit more crowded but the lines were still tolerable.

I've heard the AK seems to be less crowded near closing time (late afternoon) and was wondering if the EMH (nights) are crowded like the MK and Epcot seem to be?

We plan on going to Animal Kingdom this Sunday morning and going to Magic Kingdom for EMH’s. So if the park is scheduled to close at 9:00, we can get our armbands at 7:00 at the above locations. Are there a limited number of armbands? Should we arrive at MK in plenty of time to get our armbands promptly at 7:00? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
