Evening Entertainment?

We are going to DL in August. Will be there for about 3 1/2 day and trying to decide two things-

1- can we fit in an Angels baseball game?

2- how many day pass do we need?

I am just starting my research on the actual parks (school doesn't end for 2 weeks, so I have 2 more weeks of work before I have free time to work on a park plan).

What are the evening entertainment options at DL? We usually go to WDW, so I am unfamiliar with what we may want to see in the evenings.

Thanks in advance!

I would use all your days for DL and DCA personally.

DL entertainment at night - Magical fireworks 9pm. Fantasmic! at 9:30 and then again at 10:30 on weekends and maybe just once on weeknights.

DCA - World of Color 9pm. Sometimes a second show an hour later or so.

Plus the new SoundSational Parade which shows at 4PM and 6:30PM if I remember right.

I also wold recommend all the days at DLR. You can watch baseball in 30+ locations. There is only one DLR. And you will need all 3 1/2 days.

I also recommend that you plan to spend all of your time at the parks. In addition to what was already mentioned, the parks have a different flavor at night. The rides are the same, but the atmosphere is different. It's much cooler but still comfortable in the summer months. Plus, if you can pace yourself and stay until closing, you'll experience much shorter wait times for the major rides. So, even if you don't go to see a show, there is still so much to do that you'll not run out of anything.

I enjoy going to an Angel's game now and again (sure wish they were playing better ball right now) but you really have a limited amount of time with just 3 1/2 days. You'll be lucky to get everything in as it is.

When we had a 6 day park hopper pass, my DH and DS (14 years) really enjoyed getting out to an Angels game one evening. :) We don't live in an area where we get a chance to see professional baseball, so it was very cool for them. We bought Angels shirts on eBay in advance. Cab ride was around $15 or so each way.
