Does anyone have a feel yet for how crowded the evening EMHs are going to be? Especially at the MK?

Thanks!

I posted a similar msg yesterday and only rec'd 1 reply. I also posted in the EMH is it a scam thread and didn't hear anything there either. I don't know. I'm really surprised no one is speaking up about this either.

Last week it was more crowded at the MK EMH (evening) than it was at park opening times. There was more of a wait for the attractions in the evening. Almost no wait in the morning. AK was almost empty for evening EMH. But the safari is closed as is all of Asia and Africa. Only Dinoland and Festival of the Lion King were open.

Is anyone familiar with how the Epcot Future evening magic hours work? I assume they start at 7:00 p.m. and run to 10:00 p.m. However, they also include 2 attractions (El Rio Del Tiempo & The Maelstrom) which are in the other side of the park-will they fall under the same hours?

Lastly, does Disney Quest open at 10:00 or 11:30 on Saturdays--I'm finding conflicting information? Thanks.

We did EMH at MK and MGM the 5th-11th of Jan.

MGM emptied out after Fantasmic. I'm thinking most people can finish seeing everything there earlier than at other parks because it's smaller, so the EMH there was terrific. No waits at all for anything!!

At MK, it was busier than at MGM , of course, but still nothing to complain about. Longest wait we had was for rides in Fantasyland, and those were only 5-10 minutes. This was around 8:00pm. By 9, it really cleared out. We were the last (and only)ones to ride on Pirates before closing. When we exited we literally were the only ones in Adventureland. It was cool to just stroll towards Main Street, taking in all the details you miss during the day.

I LOVE the EMH nights, we're not early risers, so this is the best thing Disney has come up with!!!

We attended Epcot's EMH on 1/13 - It actually was from 9-midnight. Maelstrom and El Rio del Tiempo were open late as well, even though they are in World Showcase. They had the rest of World Showcase roped off just before you entered China.

We were at the EMH on January 18th at MK. It was initially crowded but the lines went very quickly. The CM's have to stop you to check your wrist band. They did this before you entered the ride so many thought that the lines were long. The lines formed outside of the ride. Once you got past the CM, you walked right on to the ride. We really never waited 5 minutes for anything. There definetly are more people there then e-nights used to be. When we went to E-nights, I always felt we were the only ones in the park. It was much more magical.

We only attended MK but friends of ours went to MGM/DS for the EMH and said it was pretty quiet.

Hope this helps!

Parade and Wishes times are not affected by evening EMH, as they are for all guests. Last Wednesday, while Wishes started at 7 pm as is normal for a 7pm closing, I was getting on Haunted Mansion with my wristband. There was no parade that evening.

evening hours at all the parks. I found MGM still kind of crowded. For us on 2/2, MK was empty. It was also lightly raining. We did Pirates, splash, Big thunder, Haunted Mansion, Snow White, Peter Pan, Pooh, Teacups, Indy 500, Space, Buzz (many time!), TTA, etc all with no lines. It was fabulous!

I found Epcot and especially AK a let down, with not enough open. with only Dinoland in AK, the lines were kind of long!

All in all, I think having each park with an early morning and a late evening is a terrific idea.

I did the night hours while I was there and I didn't think it was crowded (1/19-1/26), but in the offseason when the parks aren't open all that late I think more resort guests will take advantage of the extra 3 hours to have a longer day at the parks.

Ditto! I hope they still have it in June because we prefer later hours than early!!! This makes it where we can actually sleep in before hitting the parks! yeah! :cool1:
