Apologies if this has already been discussed here but I did a search and found nothing.

From January WDW are cutting the evening extra magic hours from 3 to 2 hours, as confirmed on WDW's website in the park hours section. Perhaps not a huge change but even more chipping away at the on-site experience by management. Tickets and room rates go up and up, and the benefits get cut and cut.

Although there's speculation the parks will be open later to all so the over all hours per day won't reduce which makes it a little better.

We loved our EMH evenings at MK this year, will be sad if they go.

I just hope they don't mess with morning EMH. I love those, we get so much done while most people are sleeping. I like them the earlier the better! Me and DD entered MK at 7am on boxing day 2010 with only 90 other people, I counted!

that's sad - the last hour is the best hour when there are fewer people around...

This! ^^

It's what made the EMH worthwhile. If we did them, we stayed right to the end. Having the parks open later just means that the resort guests lose a privilege and everyone else gains one. They took away the roaming characters during evening EMH last year, cut the monorail hours for the highest paying resort guests and now they cut EMH? That's fine, if they are going to give the onsite payers an extra perk in its place

in its place, give resort guests some FPs of their choice...

Well that's the rumour with all these 'super fast passes' or whatever they're calling them isn't it?

Last I heard the rumour was that onsite would give you some of those FP's you can book before leaving home/for the park. Though I've not been lurking so much on the dis the last month or so may have missed a development there.
