Evening EMH but staying offsite

We are staying offsite and are thus not eligible for EMH. The day we are looking to go, the park is open until 11pm, with EMH from 11pm to 1am.

What are the pros and cons of going on an evening EMH day at Magic Kingdom, without having the benefit of EMH?

My first thought is, with a 5 year old and 7 year old, 11pm would be plenty late enough. But are the parks ridiculously busy those nights?

We are going in October, so it is difficult balancing EMH and party nights.

MK will not generally be overrun with guests that late.

But, in October, with so many days when MK is closed at 7PM for MNSSHP, there will likely
be more guests than usual on non-party nights, especially on PM EMH night.

Parks with EMH tend to be more crowded since they draw more of the resort guests on those days. You would be better off going on a day without EMH.

I'd imagine it will be quite busy. Non-party nights tend to be busy when it's around party dates, add EMH to that and you got a very busy night. I'd imagine the morning and afternoon wouldn't be as bad though.

Pros: None

Cons: The park will be noticeably busier all day. It won't be as bad as the park with morning EMH (if there is one,) but I would still avoid it.
