We've decided to book a trip to DLP soon hopefully for sometime in the Summer Holidays.

We are planning on giving Eurotunnel a try (we've only flown and taken Eurostar before).

How is the best way to book this independently?

Do they ever offer special discounts or 'codes' with certain products?

We may book a full package with a T.A. if the price works out the same or cheaper than booking everything separately.

Also, if you have travelled via this method before how did you find it?

Thanks for any advice!

Richard.

Hi Richard,

We always use the tunnel, it's very fast and easy. We book direct online at www.eurotunnel.com . You can select the fare category there and you will get a discount if you join the points plus club. It's £15 to join, but you get 10% off fares.

We usually grab a paper and a sandwich for the journey and by the time you've eaten it (the sandwich, not the paper!), you're there. The drive the other end is very easy too, it takes about 2 hours 45 mins at 80 mph ~ with a few toilet stops for the kids

If you go 9th to the 12th July it's 4 nights for 3 or there are free hotel upgrades between 1st June and 31st July.
