Remember the thread I started to say eurostar train times had changed as a result of the tunnel fire?

I have an email from eurostar this morning "for my immediate attention" to say the times have changed - I go in 2 days, bought my tickets in the summer and then have known about this since October!! Are they not able to send emails any earlier?

I think that is really bad customer service :sad2:

Urgh, they are awful like that!

I've been looking at ours and it seems there's not a direct one home the day we come back.

Gosh, that is really bad!!:scared1: Obviously, I still have a few weeks to go but I haven't heard from them at all. Mind you, they don't have my email address, so don't think I'll hear from them at all lol.

We leave tomorrow but were informed via email a couple of weeks ago I think :confused3

The direct train leaves Ashford about 15mins earlier and the return from Disneyland doesnt leave until 8:13pm from memory.

My friend went to dlrp at the beginning of november, and it was only because i told her about thread from ukstitch around that time re timetable changes that she didn't miss her train!!.
She didn't ever hear anything from eurostar at all!!

we got an email from Eurostar two days before we left aswell, it's a bit bad to be honest and if I hadn't logged on I would never have known ... guess it pays to check beforehand regardless of your method of travel.

Hope they've brought the times forward for you so you get a bit more of the magic :goodvibes

I don't think we'll hear from them as well. I booked over the phone as I requested the family area so them sending me an email is probably science fiction:rotfl2:

:lmao:

I rung eurostar a while back and was told my new train times.

i havent heard anything yet, and we go on sat 13th

we booked with airmiles though so not sure if that makes a difference ??

We go on 14th and had all sorts of rubbish answers when we rang Eurostar.

They have now issued us with new tickets with the correct new departure time on, but we are now in different seats, and not all seated together.

I am terrified it is all going to go wrong!

I booked over the phone too but they must have taken my email address as part of the booking - one good thing at least!:)

:scared1: :( think i will give them a ring!!

Thanks for raising this subject. Im going in a few weeks and havent recieved all my tickets yet. I booked at Thomas cook and Cresta. But the itinery I have I have just checked on the eurostart site and the train times have changed.
Has worked out better for me tho. We are leaving earlier and coming home later!
Looks like we are going on the train that goes to Ashford and then straight onto Disney. Shocked they only run once a day.
Is this the Disney Express ? Do you get checked in quicker or anything ?

Thanks

I am pretty mad, but just want to get there! We are seperated on the way out, and together on the way back *I think*!

I am just so glad I rang to check (twice!), otherwise we probably wouldn't have got a seat at all! Someone mucked up big time at Eurostars end and hadn't re-allocated our seats from the altered train.....

Our online Eurostar itinerary is also now blank, so I am supposed to be ringing again today to check that out.

Not good for the nerves!

Have you got any little ones? As its notfair to lumber one parent with all the children!! Oh i hope you get it sorted, they messed up our flight seats on way home, but people were happy yo move to keep us together

Little ones are 7 and 5. This trip is a complete surprise for them - only another couple of weeks for me to contain myself for! Maybe we can swap seats with other people if necessary when we get the train.....

How bizarre. I called Eurostar today and the guy told me about the change in timetable but the seats will be the same. I asked him to confirm that and he said only times had changed nothing else.

There is only usually one direct train toand from disney a day (there has been two in the summer holidays), but there are lots of indirect trains that go, you can either switch at Lille or Paris itself I think.:)

Teh disney express is for transfering luggage, you don't get checked in any quicker on the train.
