Bit confused! Is the Eurostar express included automatically when you travel on the train or is it something you have to 'upgrade' to? We booked using airmiles and cant remember if this is included - doesn't say on the booking info. If not, how easy is it to walk from the station to the Cheyenne? (with a buggy and a 5 yr old?)

I'm not sure about the Disney Eurostar express but I think it's a luggage service you get when you book directly with Disney. You just leave your luggage at the booth in the station and they take it to room for you so that you can just go straight into the park.

Getting from the station to Cheyenne is very easy, just step out the station and there is a bus station next to it. Jump on the free bus to the Cheyenne (the bus stops are labelled clearly) and it will drop you off at your hotel reception free of charge. There are busses for all the on-site hotels and all are free of charge to everyone.

If you wanted to walk it, it would take around 10mins through Disney Village and then down the path between Hotel New York and Sequia Lodge

The free buses between the hotels and the bus stops (next to the Eurostar station) run every 10 minutes or so, all day every day, so you won't have long to wait for one to the Cheyenne.

Disney Express service is not free, and you have to request that as an option with your package.

If you can i would definetly try and add it to your package. Its so easy! You get your park tickets and special luggage tags on the train (or at the station if coming from london), then all you do is attach the luggage tags and then tage your bags to the top floor of the Eurostar station and go straight into the park! :thumbsup2
You dont have to worry about your bags until the end of the day when you collect them at check-in at your hotel.

And on your last day after giving your bags to the hotel in the morning you just pick them up from the Eurostar station where you gave them in at the begining of your stay.

Its really useful service that will just make your Disney stay that little bit more care-free and magical :wizard:

Edit: you dont have to book directly with Disney to use this service.

In my experiences, Disney Express service was not free, but 15 EUR a person.

When I booked our hotel at the beginning of the week I was offered Disney Express for £14 per person (shame we would both have to book it as we'd likely only have one case!). I have declined for now, but read somewhere that the return is offered in the hotel anyway - can anyone confirm this as the return only would be more useful I think. We are staying at the Sequoia Lodge.

I thought it was included with all packages of hotel and eurostar travel, but I didn't think that it could be booked seperately

laluna I hope you don't mind me asking but how many airmiles did you need for DLRP?

It can definitely be booked as an extra if you book your hotel through Disney Direct (but you book transport elsewhere), but I'm not sure if it can be booked if you have booked your hotel through some other means.

We've never paid for the Disney Express service, it's always been free when we booked the package all together. I certainly wouldn't pay for it - the hotels are so easy to get to with the free buses and I quite like getting the room sorted before hitting the parks. We don't have it for the holiday in October as we booked transport and hotels seperately.

Just looking at our statement and we spent 2020 airmiles and paid £600. This is for 4 of us for 4 nights at the Cheyenne going next week.

Thanks for the info I was wondering about exchanging my Tesco Clubcard Vouchers for Airmiles, but I think I'll stick with my original plan of another Leger trip before they leave Tesco's deals, and maybe conside Airmiles next year.

Hope you have a lovely holiday and you'll love the Cheyenne, it's a fabulous hotel. :goodvibes

Im a bit confused...

what is the disney express about, will i not get that as im booking euro star separatly??

Disney Express is where you leave your bags at the train station and they get taken to your hotel - you can then get off the train and go straight to the parks when you arrive. This is usually included as part of the package when you book your transport and hotel together but I personaly have never seen or had it offered to me when I've booked transport and hotel seperately.

oooh i thought it was something different lol, we wil prob take our bags to the hotel ourselves sort our selfs out then go to the park.

i think they have changed how they do the pricing. this used to be included with the travel, but now it is listed as on optional extra

i think when you book as a package it is included but i have just read this on dlrp magic website for if you book separately

"If you decide to book Direct Eurostar travel separately, since this can be cheaper, you can now add Disney Express as an extra option when you call to book your Disney Hotel for £10 per person for arrival and departure transfer"

Just to pitch in, we were offered it last week for £14 per adult for the round trip. This was booking the accommodation through Disney and the transport elsewhere.

I personally think it's a bad deal - or at least bad value for money - given 1) they throw in the Magic Express in Orlando for free and 2) the logistics involved in this system are far less complex IMO. £5-£8 per adult would seem more appropriate, especially since you have to cart your bags through the station.

Needless to say we haven't taken it - we'd only need to use it one way to start with (arrival) and with such small kids in tow, it's not as if we'll have massive demands for park time & getting on all the "E-ticket" rides...

Is this still the case does anyone know?

We booked the hotel through our travel agent, and we booked Direct Eurostar separately on line as it was a lot cheaper than having a package through Disney.
We would like to use the Disney express so that we can go straight to the park.
Many Thanks
Sharon

Yes you can add it separately. I too booked the Eurostar myself and the hotel through my travel agent.
I booked through First Choice and then went in again about 4 weeks later and asked if i could add it. They rang Disney and it was done. It cost £14 per person for the service.
We used it last week and it was very good. We were off the train at 12.30 and in the park by 12.50. I don't suppose it's always that quick but myself and my daughter were one of the first ones off the train so first in the queue at the Disney Express counter.
