Hi there

Just wondering if anyone has ordered a vegetarian or vegan meal when travelling in Leisure Select on the Eurostar.

If yes, what meal did you have and what was it like?

bump

Im thinking od going leisure next year and as my gf is a vegetarian im interested too

Anyone?

When i was upgraded to Lesiure select we did'nt get any food lol.

We're not vegetarians but we ordered vegetarian meals once because we'd got fed up of them never changing their menu! I'm sorry I can't remember exactly what we had ~ instead of the sausage with the breakfast I think there was a fruit salad and for the evening meal which had always been chicken breast I think it was a risotto. I do remember it was very nice. :goodvibes

ETA: We'd seen what the veggy meal looked like as on a previous trip someone in our carriage didn't show (you have to give them your seat no. when you order a veggy meal) so there was a spare meal hanging around and obviously the staff thought my kids looked half-starved so gave it to them to share as well as their own meals and it looked so nice we all ordered it the next time.

I had a vegetarian on the way back from paris which was like a vegetable lasagne/pasta thingy.

Had the chicken coming back from DLRP though so I don't know what the vegetarian is on the direct train I'm afraid. Breakfast wise you have croissants and rolls and a veg omelette or something along those lines I think.

Wonder why we didnt get any food...do they bring it to you or do you have to go and collect it?

Thanks for the replies. I am still trying to decide whether to change my booked Vegan meal to a Vegetarian meal. I am now only travelling LS on the way home so don't have to worry about breakfast on the train there - even though I am veggie, I cannot do eggs hence the ordering of the Vegan meal.

But now as I only have to worry about dinner on the way home, I'm thinking cheese and biscuits with a Vegetarian meal which I wouldn't get with a Vegan meal! popcorn::

That's odd. :confused3

You get served the food at your seat. It comes airline-style on a tray but it's much nicer food in crockery containers and best of all you get proper cutlery!

We definitely had cheese and biscuits on the way home with the veggy option. :thumbsup2

BTW, your signature is very impressive. Do you have a favourite park?

I hope you're not trying to hijack this thread Elaine :rotfl:

It sounds like they've upgraded the leisure select a lot since the days of calling it castle class, where you just got a lunch box with pre-made sandwiches and a carton of drink etc...

Yes, they had already started doing the hot meals when we started going to DLRP. I wouldn't have been happy paying the extra for what they used to give.

I'm sure that extra always used to be a lot less though, so I guess it's swings and roundabouts.

Erm not really. I think they all have their good points and bad points.

One park that I can't wait to get to again is Disneyland in California. Didn't get to see everything but loved what I saw of the park. Also felt very special being the original Disney. I'm definitely going there next May but am in LA on a fleeting visit next week so you never know!

Wasn't too impressed with the rides in Orlando but was enchanted by the Wishes fireworks. Liked Hollywood Studios but found Animal Kingdom a bit boring - sorry :sad1: (Expedition Everest saved the day there!)

Paris was my first Disney so I do have a bit of a soft spot for it.

Hong Kong has the makings of an amazing park - it just needs to get a lot bigger. Still been there three times though!

I love Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea. The detail in Disneysea is jaw-dropping and again I didn't get to see everything (the rain didn't help!)

You're very lucky. :goodvibes I hope to visit all the Disney parks ....... eventually!! ;)
