Am I right in thinking the next lot of eurostar tickets will be released on Monday? Any ideas how far the tickets will be up to? We're going 18th December so wondering if our journeys will be released?

That batch I've been told will be in the July /august batch
My February one will be then too.

The Eurostar booking horizons have changed for 2015. They are now 180 days on major routes and 280 days on holiday routes, Disneyland Paris and Marseilles for example.

This will hopefuly make holiday planning with Eurostar much easier than it used to be. However, the fly in the ointment is that you can only book up to 83 days ahead on through-ticketed bookings on a UK rail journey but I don't think many of us book through tickets.

I don't as I tend to stay in London the night before my trip even though I'm only one hour away by train from London. I'm just too paranoid and will panic about missing that train.

I was told "probably" Thursday 15th January for my October dates but they weren't entirely sure.

I've chosen to fly now as I'll get there earlier that way and it was £20 cheaper.

I might just have completely missed it or not looked in the right place, but does anyone know if the Eurostar website shows the date they're booking up to?

I know the UK train companies tend to show this on their websites but I can't see it on the Eurostar site :confused3

We are flying over for a London-Paris-DLP-London vacation in mid-late August. I had been looking at train info, and was told that things typically only show up 6 months (or less) ahead, except for some special routes. I checked the site that Eurostar tells Canadians to use for booking travel, and nothing was showing up. Just out of curiosity, I checked the Eurostar site directly the other night. I couldn't see anything for London - Paris (or DLP), but it was showing me the train for the DLP - London leg of our trip. I decided to hold off, intending to book a return or multi-city ticket once the dates were released. Was only showing me to the first week of July for the other legs.

I went onto the site tonight, and the regular ticket fare has gone up by about 15 GBP just since last night for the DLP-London train, and it now says there are only 9 seats available. The premier standard fare is now cheaper than the standard fare, and it is what I was seeing for standard fare price yesterday. I decided not to wait for the other legs of the trip to become available for fear there wouldn't be seats, or that the cost would be astronomical by the time that happened (and any return vs. one-way savings would be lost by the price increase).

Did I just make a huge "rookie" mistake? Hubby spent a month in London for school 15 years ago, but that is the only experience we have with the train system - and we are now going as a family of 5 including 3 kids between the ages of 4 and 9. I just can't believe that the seats are filling so quickly for DLP-London, and that the price is increasing so fast. Especially with so many other possible legs of a trip not being available for booking yet.

Thanks for your feedback!

This sounds about right, tickets for the direct DLP - London service for July have been on sale for quite a while now.

I booked the Eurostar tickets last October for our June trip. Eurostar seat prices rise on a daily basis the closer you get to the departure date.

Thank you! I'm just glad I thought to check it now out of curiosity, instead of waiting for the Canadian booking service to show availability  - prices would have either been through the roof, or seats would have been sold-out!

I Rang eurostar yesterday and was told they have changed it and are now releasing all dates from mid August to December 19th on January 22nd. He said they were originally releasing them the middle of the coming week.

I spoke to someone in customer service this morning - in typical "my luck" fashion, it seems that a TA must have had a block of seats held or something like that, which then got released - the price on the regular tickets is now down to 57 GBP (cheaper than I was ever seeing in the past few days), and it is now saying limited number of SP seats. So I went from 79 GBP, to 89.50 GBP, to 57 GBP in a span of 4 days.

The agent told me that our August 18 London - Paris leg wouldn't be available online until February 19. He used some date calculator that automatically works out the 180 point for them. Are you saying that you were told that date may actually be released on Jan 22? I had a reminder set in my phone to get online first thing on the 19th, but now I'm wondering if I should be watching on the 22nd?

I hope that getting on the train and the actual journey are less confusing than the booking process! :lmao:

Yeah, I specifically rang to ask and the guy said oh I know the answer I was just read that, he put me in hold and said he was reading it Infront of him. Originally they were to be released 15th but we're pushed back to 22nd of january.

Ok - thanks! Looks like I'll be adding a different reminder! :thumbsup2

Edit: And now tonight the standard tickets are back up to 82 GDP, more than the 79 GDP SP seats! LOL! I'm just going to stop looking. It's for the best. ;)

Hello!
I went to the website this morning, and nothing seems to have changed re: dates that are showing up. Was nothing released today? I'm assuming I should just go with the Feb 19th date that he gave me?
Thanks!

I understand from reading some Facebook posts that tickets were released this morning, and that there are 20 mins waits on the Eurostar booking line.

Ok - thanks! Must be for different routes than what we are looking at, because I'm not seeing any change to the dates/routes that I have been watching.
Thank you!

The tickets released today are for the Direct London to DLP services up to 7th December.

Apologies if I am wrong but when we were waiting to book tickets, new dates did not appear because I needed to delete the cookies on my computer.
We rang up to buy them but them man at Eurostar said that the new dates had not appeared online due to cookies. The website thinks it is being helpful by not showing you any new dates!

I've had this problem in the past too. I delete the cookies and the dates I wanted appeared.

I've had the opposite problem - I was pretty sure I was seeing right up into December for the DLP - London leg for a month now (we only needed to go one way). Is it the London - DLP leg that had new dates added? We're waiting for London - Paris to show, but that likely won't be until February.

Yes only the direct London to DLP and DLP to London tickets were released today.
