eurostar questions

Pardon my train ignorance. We are lucky enough that Disney World is only a 45 min drive and I've only ever been on one train.

We are planning on a week or so in England the last week in November 2014 and seriously discussing going to DLP for a few days by the Eurostar. Do we need to make up our minds which day to go over and start looking at booking the tickets before too long? I wasn't going to worry about it until next summer.

Thanks.

The Eurostar needs to be booked, so if you wanted to head to DLP via train you will need to plan in advance. All other train travel in the UK can be booked on the day of travel (although you can often get tickets cheaper in advance).

I used to live in the US so know that train travel in the UK & Europe is very different from the US.

Hope you can get it sorted out.

If you book online and join their plus points scheme everytime you book you get points which are exchanged for eurostar vouchers. So far I have had £100 in eurostar vouchers just since 2011.

You get 1 point per £ spend and when you get 300 points you get a £20 evoucher

The Direct Eurostar seats are normally released about 5/6 months before travel, so for November you would probably want to start checking around April onwards.

If you're not going during school holidays you should probably be able to get a seat if you book nearer the time, but the prices will generally be a lot higher.

Latest update re tickets from 16th December 2013 onwards is that they are expecting these to be released the week after next...

.. annoying, I'm on holiday the week after next!! I will probably miss out on all the cheap seats by the time I get back!

I was gonna ask the exact thing!! Tried the site but can't get anything for feb. anyone any news??
