Hope that nobody here was (too) affected by this and that those going out today will have a pleasant trip and that the delays will be small as they get back to normal.

Following heavy falls of snow across Northern France yesterday bringing down electricity cables the Eurostars, Thalys, TGV and regional trainsstopped running around 4 pm.

Many people spent the night in the trains at Lille and Gare du Nord or in nearby hotels.

They are saying on the news this morning that 40 000 rail passengers were affected as the whole region ground to a halt.

:goodvibes

Hi

Did/do you have snow around Disneyland?

No snow with us, we just got sleet and rain in the night and it drizzled most of today in Paris

ah no :sad2:
i didnt even know that France had been hit by snow!

The North were expecting snow but they didn't think it was going to be like that and settle

The snow brought down pylons and cables and it's these that brought the trains to a standstill
